View Full Version : Are they killing off Luka?
Chocoholic 09-19-2003, 02:32 PM I saw the rerun of the season finale last night when Carter and Luka went to the Congo and Carter went home but Luka stayed behind. Then, I saw next week's preview and they said someone is dead. It's not Luka, is it? I hope they're not killing off Luka! :crying: He's one of the only reasons I still watch ER.
-*Forever*- 09-26-2003, 05:32 PM Oh Lord :crying:
You saw it didn't you?? Other than that part... I liked Parminder Nagra {sp?}
felicitylen 09-26-2003, 06:45 PM Did ya'll watch the season premiere? First off, I would like to say it was G-O-O-D, GOOD!!! and second, something was revealed about what happened to Luka. I don't want to give it away if you haven't seen it. If you have, let's start a chat! They also showed what's happening next week.
croatian_princess 09-27-2003, 11:04 PM Hehe. Luka isn't gunna die. I'm positive. He signed til S.12.

ah ha! so that must be what carter finds while in africa. so this obviously ends those constant debates i've been having with myself over this issue.
the season premiere was unbelievable! the first five minutes alone were amazing. i loove that new med student. and i hate frank (wasn't he the one who made that racist comment?). she is definetly going to spicen up the show. i wonder if things shall happen between her and pratt or maybe gallant. good episode. extremely.
-*Forever*- 09-28-2003, 03:33 AM Didn't Luka die though?? In the season premiere?
JDS84 09-28-2003, 02:13 PM I hope they do cause I don't like him.
Kay Scarpetta 09-28-2003, 06:02 PM Watch Carter go to Africa and get killed or something... this is definitely Noah's last season. I don't even think he's in for the whole season.

Did u watch the part where the new med student was on the telephone with someone from Africa and what she told the staff in the ER?

They actually said that Noah Wyle wasn't going to be in some episodes because he was going on a break or something like that. Plus his wife recently had a baby and so I think he wanted to spend sometime with them.

The season premiere was awesome! Yeah, what was up with Frank and his racist comments? I don't like him anymore (well, I never did) lol. I think Pratt is going to try something with the med student but I hoope Gallant does it before him. I want to see his character developed more, so this would be good for him and the med student! We'll have to wait and see!!
Well, he's still listed in the opening credits, so that's a good sign. Plus in the preview for next week's episode, there is a hint of a great big shocker of a surprise ending, (and when hasn't there been an episode of E.R. that hasn't had a shocker of a surprise ending) so I'm guessing he'll be found alive, or barely alive.
marvin g 09-29-2003, 10:48 PM Being in the opening credits don't mean anything! Lucy was in the opening credits in the episode where she was stabbed and operated on before she died!
I hope they do developed Gallant more and I'm glad he grew the facial hair to age him abit. He looked too baby faced.
Frank needs a fatal heart attack!!
croatian_princess 09-30-2003, 07:07 PM Hehe. (w/ the heart attack thing) I think Susan wants that 2! Did you hear the comment in S.9 where she said:
"Frank, are you taking anything for your cholesteral(sp?)?"
"No."
"Good." -- that was pretty funny. Hehe. And Luka and Carter are fine. Trust me.
There's a rumor going around on http://www.erheadquarters.com/erforum
It's got something to do with 10.8/9 Free Falling. Let's just say there's a helicopter crash, Dr. Romano, and death. I've been freaking out all day, hehe, I read it this morning.
Couldn't get the cat for some reason, so...

marvin g 09-30-2003, 11:35 PM Well if Romano dies everybody will be at the funeral to make sure he's dead!
I have a like/hate feeling about him. His entertaining to watch but people like that unfortunately exist and gives the show that bit of realism and drama! But working with or for people like that in real life is what makes monster.com so popular!!!!:)

croatian_princess 10-01-2003, 04:27 PM You're probably right. And i need to know what's going on, because the epi isn't even supposed to air until the 20th of Nov. So whateva.
No cat again!

Chocoholic 10-02-2003, 11:54 AM The season premiere was great and it looks like they aren't killing Luka after all. I'm glad Carby is dead though :happyface
I hope it's not true about Romano dying. I hope they kill Abby instead. I'm so sick of her! :barf:

Oooooooooo...
You're gonna be in trouble!
:seeya:
croatian_princess 10-02-2003, 04:57 PM Why in trouble.
I mean, I'm sick of her 2. Although it's probably just coz she's had 2 much screen time this season!

felicitylen 10-02-2003, 10:58 PM OMG! Did anyone catch ER tonight? I was lost at first BUT that all changed close to the end! Also, I was wrong about what happens to Luka.
misterblowhole 10-03-2003, 11:14 AM First off, regarldess of whatever else I post here, let me first say that last night's episode (second of the season) was intense and engaging.
But did anyone else feel a little cheated by the way things turned out.
I'm not saying I wanted Luka killed off, but the turn of events came absolutely out of nowhere. It was really bizarre, though not unlike ER, I suppose.
Anyways, Carter and Luka have more or less swapped places from where they were 2 episodes ago. I haven't heard anything myself, but is there any truths to the rumors that this is Noah Wyle's last season, and this could essentially be their way of writing him out of the story.
Or is he just taking some time off?
Chocoholic 10-03-2003, 01:26 PM Noah Wyle is just taking some time off. He'll miss the next 6 episodes or so, but he's signed on until Season 12.
I loved last night's episode. It was so great, and I'm glad Luka's going to be OK.
Wow, powerful, moving episode last night. I really liked it but it was definitely depressing.
I guess the ending did kind of come out of nowhere but I figured Luka wasn't going to die since I hadn't heard that GV was leaving. So I figured he was going to be alive, I just didn't know how they were going to do it. I thought it was actually a little intriguing how it happened, an interesting twist if you will. It's just ironic that here's a man who has given up on God, yet he is saved because they mistook him for a priest.
The implied rape scene was so subtle yet disturbing. It really got to me when that enemy soldier came out of the tent buttoning up his pants. Made me almost sick to my stomach. I think it was even more horrific because we had gotten to know the mom and her daughter.
Poor Patrique. :( So shocking when they shot him.
I liked that scene where Carter and Gillian are talking about how no one knows about what's going on in the Congo. Carter said something like "Nobody knows because there's no oil over here" Really hits home.

I believe Noah is scaling back this season and won't be in very many episodes. Probably partly because his wife just had a baby. He is not going to be in the next 4-5 episodes but will be in some eps this season. I don't know anything about next season. (oops, Snoopy beat me to it)
croatian_princess 10-03-2003, 09:12 PM Yeah, w/ the rape thing. And the way that they killed everybody around Luka one by one. :(
OMG, I was so happy that the mother of the girl who lost her foot, gave her that cross necklace. :) I love ER!! And next week on Dear Abby, what does Elizabeth think she's doing?! Did any1 else see the previews?! It looked like Elizabeth was doin' somethin, with the wrong some1. I mean Dorset, or Doormat, or Dumbass, or whateva his name was. Gawd I hate him, and I wish he and Anspaugh would be blown up!!! Or at least attacked by escapees from the psyh(sp?) ward. That would be an excellent epi if I do say so myself.

marvin g 10-07-2003, 10:42 PM It was all abit to didturbing for me! I'm ready to see the goings on in the ER. It was different though.
