View Full Version : Ellen returns to Lifetime
Pavan 09-19-2003, 10:54 AM This is still very tentative:
Ellen returns to Lifetime starting OCTOBER 4, 2003, airing Saturday nights (early Sunday mornings) at 1:00AM and 1:30AM E/P (replaces two episodes of Designing Women). Episode #12, The Dentist is slated for the first airing.
Nanny Fine 09-19-2003, 07:47 PM Yah!!!!!
The only better news on this front would be that it is going to show up on weekdays and be on more than 8 times a month!!!!!!!!
Christopher 09-26-2003, 01:14 PM Is it still returning Pavanbadal or did Lifetime change their minds? Why do they start with season 2 and not season 1? Season 1 is funny.

As of now, it is going to air.
Pavan 10-05-2003, 12:57 AM It's on next. They decided to air the "Puppy" 2-parter first (one where Ellen "comes out"). The rotation starts next week starting from season two.
Beavis 10-05-2003, 01:14 AM I like Ellen!

Are they going to continue airing it for a while, or is this a one month showing because of her new talk show?
Beavis 10-05-2003, 02:25 AM I belive since her show is on daytime, they will air it for a while to keep interest on both networks...if the rating sink, they'll dump her..LOL

I see it listed for October, November and December. And that's the farthest they have released. Too bad it's just on Saturday nights.
Adamantium 10-05-2003, 01:00 PM It was so refreshing to see this wonderful sitcom again. I'm gonna tape the show this time around. I tried a couple years ago, but didn't get them all.
Three Cheers for Lifetime:
RoseNylund 10-12-2003, 10:14 AM Finally! And they should at least advertise it. I stumbled upon this by accident. Ellen is one of the funniest women on TV and to place her at 1am is ridiculous when they have garbage like Suddenly Susan and Caroline in the City on their schedule. But I will tape them too. Her daytime show is a hit, and now maybe Lifetime will finally stop hiding in the proverbial closet, and start broadcasting this show.
Freakzilla 10-13-2003, 12:58 AM Ellen is a great show. Lifetime should put it on earlier and during the week. But I think Lifetime may be airing it at 1am on Saturdays because they could be losing the rights. Maybe Oxygen could pick it up and have 2 hours of Ellen every night.
Pavan 11-15-2003, 03:01 PM Starting Monday, January 5, Ellen will be airing weeknights (early Tues-Sat) at 1:30 a.m. E/P. As of now, the late Saturday airings (early Sunday morning) at 1am and 1:30am will still air as well.
Also, 2 episodes of Ellen will air on Friday, January 2 (early Jan 3)at 1:30am and 2:00am. And 2 Christmas episodes at 8am on Dec. 24 & 25.

Good news. Finally, it will air weekdays (well, weeknights...)

:woohoo: That's fantastic news. I hope Lifetime starts this off with season 1. Thank you for the news.
Pavan 11-20-2003, 12:06 AM Lifetime keeps messing with the schedule. Ellen is now off until January 5, when it returns and will air weeknights at 1:30am (Ellen will still air on Dec. 24 & 25 at 8am). Starting this Saturday night, Unsolved Mysteries takes the 1 a.m. Saturday night (early Sunday morning) time slot.

With Lifetime messing up their schedule, I doubt Ellen will air in January at all.
