It was said last night on the tribute that Ritter did not die the same way. He became sick and was taken to the hospital. He did not collaspe on the set like Redd Foxx. I tought he died that way until i saw the tribute on ABC

I think he's talking about the aftermath. At the time of Foxx's death, he was doing a TV series called "The Royal Family." This was just as his series was starting to revive. After Redd's death, TRF was cancelled after several episodes.
