View Full Version : SARAH this is your reminder
Hollow 09-17-2003, 03:52 PM I have to remind myself that i have in school suspension tomorrow (we call it OR.. opprtunity room) cause i had 4 detentions and i only went to 2. this sucks. if i forget to go i'll prolly be suspended meaning i'll get 0% credit every day and my grades are low right now so theyd prolly be worse. i hope theres no teacher so i can sleep.
my first OR! go me. :cheer:
BrandonS 09-17-2003, 05:21 PM I hate to be a killjoy, but when you get out into the adult world, they give you worse punishments than detention. It doesn't make sense to do things that you know in advance will get you into trouble. Anyone who thinks it's cool is (a) wrong, and (b) probably not a good friend to have. Good luck.
Hollow 09-18-2003, 06:05 PM omg. OR kicks ass! :D it was so fun, i wouldnt say it was necissarily entertaining but i just had to sit in a room with some other people and do work all day which is a hell of alot better than going to classes. i put pokemon comic books in my textbooks and read em that was fun. so peaceful and stressless! i wanna go again.

ISS is awesome. You get to sleep all day and listen to music. I slept for 3 straight hours last time I was in it(friday).

Ohhhhh, nice! How do they calculate the scores for Regents? Is it like a 66 out of 80 or something? (obviously I'm not in NY. LOL)

I've never gotten ISS either but I did get detention...Last time I got detention was in 8th grade. :D (that was 5 years ago) Once when I was in 10th grade, tho, my school released a list of EVERYBODY in school (650 kids) and highlighted those with detention...one guy had almost 60 hours of detention he had to make up.
robyrob 09-20-2003, 01:49 PM the whole idea of ISS ind OR seems ******** - what the heck kinda punishment is THAT? when i was a kid they tossed yer but out and you had to go to the schoolboard to beg them to let you back in... (i missed 2 months in the 10th grade)
i dont think it matters anyways; its not how hard you work, or how well you follow the rules, it seems that knowing what you can get away with and knowing the right people is what really matters on the outside...
Unwanted Angel 09-20-2003, 01:52 PM  In 7th grade ISS was my home sweet home, i was in ISS more then i was in class. I was bad that year.
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 09-20-2003, 01:53 PM I never got ISS or detention. I'm just a quiet, shy kid who does what she's supposed to. Maybe that's why I hate school so much...

I never got ISS, but I've had so many detentions before. In middle school, we'd have an outside break after lunch. I can't tell you how many times I've had break detention, had after school detention in middle school. Of course, in high school we no longer had the break, but I have had some after school detentions in hs.
