View Full Version : Fanfiction.Net
Berlin 09-17-2003, 08:06 AM Now don't get me wrong, I love Fanfiction.net and visit it every day. But I'm SO SICK of it not working all the time! Yet again I find myself greeted with "Error: Website Not Responding" message.
This site hasmore problems/offline time than ANY other site I know of and Lordie is it frustrating! I'm really p*ssed off at it right now. You'd think a site that had so many problems the owners would do something to try and fix the bugs for good insted of just fixing it EVER time. I reckon it's server overload or something, but gah!
LOL sorry for that, just HAD to rant! ;)
PZelda 09-17-2003, 11:43 AM Ohhhhh. I hear you 100%!!!!
I used to go to Fanfiction.net all the time to read the Legend of Zelda stories they had there...Back when they still had NC-17 stories (WHY DID THEY TAKE THEM DOWN  ). IMO, it just blows now and that's why I left! And I remember the server problems all too well....:cuss:

I haven't been to that site in a long time. They took down the NC-17 stories? Well, that just sucks. :cuss:

Yep, they did. Shortly after I turned 17, too. (I turned 17 in 2002) But it didn't matter anyway because I'd been reading NC-17 stories since I was 13.

Well, this sucks. I can't even get fanfiction.net to even show up. I keep getting the 'page cannot be displayed.' When it comes back you should read this one Mary Tyler Moore Show fanfic. It's called 'Mr. Grant Wants Some' or something like that. I find it quite amusing.
I like reading Buffy fanfics that center around Willow and Tara.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 09-17-2003, 03:12 PM Ive been there, but didnt actually read any of the stories yet. I wanna though, because they have a lot of my shows. If you want a website that sucks.. go to LiveJournal.com!:cuss:

dawsongirl 09-17-2003, 10:12 PM Fanfiction.net kinda sucks anyway. I mean, 65% of the writers there suck royally.

 I read some really poorly written NC-17 fanfics that made me want to :barf: because that was NOT the way to write it (grammatically speaking). :p

I've read some great Hogan's Heroes ones. And I've read ones where I wonder how much of that show the writer had actually seen.
If the plot is good, I can overlook certain errors (I mean, not everyone has taken numerous fiction writing classes like I have), but if the plot even stinks, forget it.
