In the episode "Autumm Gifts", Cliff's dad gave him a healthy no salt snack which consisted of vegetables and a glass of water. Then when Russell brings his meal out, he has a beer and barbecue ribs. I think that was supposed to be the other way around, because Russelll was in his 70's and Cliff was in his 50's.LOL I would think it's more unhealthy for Russell to eat salt than Cliff. Anyone agree?

Not really! If you think about it. If you live to be in your 70's and your doctor hadn't put any restrictions on your diet, it doesn't matter what you eat. BUT Cliff had doctor's orders not to eat that stuff or he wouldn't make to be his father's age. So that's something for him to think about.

I remember Cliff's doctor telling him to cut back a little on the salt. He didn't say don't eat it at all.

You have too much time on your hands, you ask the dumbest questions.
Well, at least it suits your name.

I just thought it was strange for Cliff's father to eat unhealthy food at his age and expect cliff to eat healthy at his age.

I figure, his dad is old, so why not let him eat all he wants for the last few years of his life.
And plus, his wife wasn't as strict as Claire with eating habits.
