Yeah, they mentioned Peekskill a lot on this past wednesday's episode of Law & Order. I woulda posted this earlier but I couldn't get to the message boards anytime after about 5! I think the server was down or something!

Yes, there is a peekskill in Upstate, New York. It is about 45 minutes from the City. On Different Strokes, Kimerberly lived in NYC but would travel to Peekskill to go to eastland.

You betcha there's really a Peekskill, NY! In fact, you may recall that on THE FACTS OF LIFE DOWN UNDER Natalie had a huge crush on Mel Gibson. The Aussie actor was actually born in the USA in Peekskill! (I think one of the shows may have mentioned this little point during Nat's Mel fascination phase!)

I DON'T BELIEVE YOU GUYS DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS REALLY A PEAKSDILL!!!! That's so funny!!! There is most deefinately a Peakskill in NY! It's col too, cux when there are snow closings for schools, and they mention the districts in the area, Peaksill is one of the districts! Well, I guess it's not that funny, cuz it's not really a toen to make note of, but Mel Gibson was really born there! There's a town called fishkill too, and a few years ago there was some controversy about the name - some people thought it sounded too violent - FISH - Kill. I did wonder, though, WHY they would set FOL in Peakskill, NY of all places!!
