JO DEE MESSINA TO HELP PAY TRIBUTE TO JOHN RITTER
Jo Dee Messina performed a great show at Los Angeles' Greek Theater Sunday evening. Then she stayed in town to be part of a special episode of the syndicated "Wayne Brady Show" that will pay tribute to the late actor, John Ritter who died late last week.
She will perform "Heaven Was Needing A Hero," a song she penned earlier this year as a way to channel her emotions as she watched news reports of American casualties of the war in Iraq.
"There are so few heroes left in the world today, " Messina commented.
"John Ritter was a hero...when I heard the news of his passing I had to ask
myself 'why?' and the only thing I could think of is that heaven must've been
needing a hero," she continued.
The special episode of "The Wayne Brady Show" airs TODAY. Check your local listings for time and station.
