View Full Version : New On DVD Eric777 09-16-2003, 02:29 PM I just received an email from The Lucy Desi Museum Heres Lucy will soon be available on DVD SPLAIN 09-16-2003, 02:46 PM Yes, next year, isn't that GREAT? Now only The Lucy Desi comedy hour remains unavailable on DVD! dawsongirl 09-16-2003, 05:14 PM Season by Season sets I hope. This Volume thing just doesn't work. crazyredhead 09-16-2003, 05:14 PM Yeah! They need to put the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hours on DVD. Since TV Land took them off! I'm tired off bying them one by one off ebay! lol LucyFan 09-16-2003, 06:47 PM Originally posted by SPLAIN Now only The Lucy Desi comedy hour remains unavailable on DVD! If I am not mistaken, Life With Lucy isn't on DVD either. If that's true (which I'm 100 % sure) than LDCH isn't the only one not available on DVD. As time passes, let's hope both of these short-lived Lucy sitcoms gets on DVD too. LucyFan 09-16-2003, 06:50 PM Originally posted by Eric777 I just received an email from The Lucy Desi Museum Heres Lucy will soon be available on DVD It is about time! Finally, we die-hard fans finally get to see Here's Lucy go public instead of remaining on that dusty, weak shelf. I hope they release Here's Lucy by season because that would be a lot easier for the fans to get a hold of those "rare" Lucy episodes all at once. SPLAIN 09-17-2003, 08:54 AM Yeah, i know Lucyfan, i thought of that, but i figured a cancelled series had little chance of being put out with only 13 episodes, but then again so was the LucyDesi comedy hour, 13 eps i mean! *ShortCake* 09-17-2003, 10:14 AM WHOOHOO Thats awesome!! Thanks for the news!! :D. Lodee 09-17-2003, 03:55 PM I used to love Here's Lucy when it was on.:D I wouldn't buy the Lucy-Desi comedy hours though. Lodee 09-17-2003, 04:16 PM That's not pathetic. You're too hard on yourself. I get compulsive about certain things too. There are worse things you could be buying:eek: Or more expensive too.;) *ShortCake* 09-17-2003, 04:21 PM Originally posted by Lodee That's not pathetic. You're too hard on yourself. Cary Grant! :D .. I know you were only kiddin ;). SPLAIN 09-23-2003, 02:40 PM Cary was one too? And they keep saying Los Angeles is full of Democrats and liberals, as Einstein used to say, GO FIGURE! *ShortCake* 09-23-2003, 04:36 PM Originally posted by SPLAIN Cary was one too? And they keep saying Los Angeles is full of Democrats and liberals, as Einstein used to say, GO FIGURE! Yep he was!! I cant remember which movie he made but he donated $100,000.00 to the war cause to support it.. he was very republican!!! :D. I was really glad when I found out about it.. course there are a few good demo's out there..;). Mickey 09-23-2003, 05:05 PM How does donating money to the war cause make him Republican? *ShortCake* 09-24-2003, 09:13 AM Originally posted by Mickey How does donating money to the war cause make him Republican? Did I say that ??? All I said was is that he donated. I have read tons of books on him, and I also watched thousands of biographies. I am ahuge fan of his, and so therefore I know plenty about him. Thats how I know he was a republican. SPLAIN 09-24-2003, 09:26 AM Well, nobody's perfect! LOL! Just joking Ash! *ShortCake* 09-24-2003, 09:35 AM Originally posted by SPLAIN Well, nobody's perfect! Left of Democrat would have been my bet, but there you go! *ShortCake* 09-24-2003, 12:51 PM Originally posted by Mickey Just me reading your sentence wrongly I suppose. SPLAIN 09-24-2003, 01:02 PM That's exactly what started my first board fight with Amy, being handicapped, i couldn't understand how she could be a Republican as they are more the party of the rich, and the Democrats are the ones fighting for the poor and handicapped and all that. There's another contradiction, Martin Sheen on drugs i can understand, but Cary Grant who was a pioneer in LSD use a Republican, wow, that was a surprise to me too! Anyway we'd better get off this subject Mickey, or we'll soon get it for being off topic. *ShortCake* 09-24-2003, 01:33 PM Originally posted by SPLAIN That's exactly what started my first board fight with Amy, being handicapped, i couldn't understand how she could be a Republican as they are more the party of the rich, and the Democrats are the ones fighting for the poor and handicapped and all that. SPLAIN 09-24-2003, 03:11 PM Don't be ridiculous, i'm always veering off subject! Lodee 09-24-2003, 03:21 PM Originally posted by SPLAIN Don't be ridiculous, i'm always veering off subject! I loved Mr. and Mrs, by the way. I really like her and Bob Hope together. Now I'm half way through Lucy in London. Luckily I have tomorrow off and no school either so I can watch the rest.:D Thanks again Splain.:) SPLAIN 09-26-2003, 01:42 PM Sorry about some being so BAD like Lucy in London especially. The quality of the copy i mean! Lodee 09-26-2003, 02:05 PM No need to appoligize, They're not as ad as I thought from the way you described them! Besides, they're Lucy (and I can see them just fine.) I like how they have the old commercials too. At first I thought they were retromercials like they show on TVLand:lol: SPLAIN 09-26-2003, 02:55 PM Yup, that's the way i got those from Michael Corderro at EmpireMedia.com, and i agree with you, the copies are bad but the material is priceless, i always say that also. |
