This was a very sad episode. Simon's life will never be the same
again. He was responsible for taking a human life-I know I would
be grieved very much if it had been me! But, I would be able to
get through it because of my strong faith in God and his son, Jesus Christ. I am also sad that the young man wasted his life
with drugs and that his brother has such strong anger and hatred
toward Simon and towards God and society. I hope that Simon
will be alright and I hope that God somehow brings him back
to Glenoak and that he and Cecillia will be together again.

Simon has faith too, don't forget. And I do think that will get him through, but not right away. He has to come to terms with what's happened. It's not going to be easy, and I'm not even sure his relationship w/ Cecilia will survive. I want it to, because I like them, but I'm not sure that's going to happen.

Even though I had read stuff on the Internet and I knew mostly what was going to happen tonight, the writers still managed to surprise me! I was so sure Lucy was going to be pregnant, but I guess that was a red herring as they say. Now it looks like Mary might be. That's going to get interesting.

I just thought of something today: Remember how Eric was praying for a "life-affirming distraction"? Could Mary's pregnancy (if there is one!) be that? I know that's definitely not what he was asking for, but I think it could be a good lesson in how God doesn't always answer our prayers the way we'd like Him to. Just a thought.
