On Friday, at 1, UM did a story on a young mother, who vanished and was later found to have been drown, with cement cinder blocks strapped to her legs, in a Lake near her house. Her baby daughter Shannon was never seen again. Im wondering if anyone knows any update on this story? I tried doing a search but cant remember the last name... maybe something like Timberland, or Timmerlan???? Ring any bells to anyone?
Thanks

I was watching it too and the case bothered me a lot. The fact that Rachel (mom) was put into the water ALIVE kept me up the night it aired.

Marvin Gabrion has a web page that hasn't been updated since 2003 that is actually bragging about him being the first Michigan DP case since 1846, with a photo of him holding out a rose to you and asking you to be his prison pen pal.
The only reason he'd be on death row in michigan is because he committed a murder on federally owned park land and was convicted on federal charges. Michigan doesn't have the death penalty.
Here's his UM wikia entry, not much info there: http://unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Marvin_Gabrion
Here's a lengthy article from January 2009 about him asking the supreme court to get involved in his case. The site is Mlive, a trustworthy Ann Arbor, MI news source.
