WTF i dont get it... their music is rock and amy lee's voice is really soft like celion dion or sarah macglachlan. it doesnt sound right at all, she has a great voice but it doesnt match the music.

Okay anyways...Yes Evanescence is a really hard band to put into a category because they have sooo many different elements and such...But that's what makes them awesome.

I think Amy Lee's voice matches perfectly with the music. I mean, they took a certain type of music and made it their own. And its different. I like them a lot.

I disagree. I think she has a very powerful voice unlike some stars out there who "think" they have a powerful voice but really they are screaming (Kelly Clarkson...I like her...but Miss Independant...enough said)

I don't like them mainly because of the singer..whatever her name is. She sounds like she should be singing in some church choir. Her voice doesn't fit the sound they're going for.

They are also in the genre of unique. I think uniqueness is a great quality to have. If y'all like Evanescence you should seriously listen to Lacuna Coil. This guy in Sam Goody said if I liked Evanescence I would LOVE Lacuna Coil, and it's true. They're much more metal, and it's a girl and a guy who sing, and they're really goth, and I love it. You should check it out. They've had more experience, they've been around for years.

THEY RESCHEDULED MY CONCERT.

Amy's voice is NOT soft. I can see why people may say that if they'd only listened to "My Immortal" and nothing else. But she has got an amazingly powerful and at times fierce voice.

Evanescence is a pretty great band and they're from ARKANSAS!!!!!! That's freakin awesome! It's about time we get some kind of recognition.

The fact that Amy's voice is different from the standard rock-band-lead-singer's is what makes Evanescence great! You need something different. If she were the same, they wouldn't be half as popular!

BTW: I'm thinking of getting the CD, too. I can only listen to samples of three songs on MSN. Anybody know where I can hear more? :confused:
