--Amy Jo Johnson is morphin' into a Lifetime series star. The former Pink Ranger and "Felicity" co-star will join the cast of Lifetime's "The Division." "The Division" explores the professional and personal lives of a group San Francisco police officers. The series stars Bonnie Bedelia, Nancy McKeon, Lisa Vidal, Tracey Needham, Taraji P. Henson and Jon Hamm. Johnson will play a new officer, Stacy Newland. "We are very happy to have Amy Jo Johnson join the ranks of 'The Division for an exciting fourth season,'" says Kelly Goode, a senior vice president at the cable network. "Amy will bring even more energy to this successful series and compliment our wonderful ensemble cast." A former gymnast, Johnson parlayed her athleticism into a starring role on the insanely popular kids' action series "Might Morphin' Power Rangers," playing Kimberly Ann Hart (and the Pink Ranger). The gymnastics skills also came in handy in a saucy cameo in Robert Towne's underappreciated 1998 film "Without Limits." Johnson is probably best known as Julie Emrick on The WB's college drama
"Felicity."

OOOO, I like her!! She was in Suzy Q and she was in that movie about the band...umm...Sweetwater?

However I hope she just plays Raina's partner. I think if they try to get storylines based around her it'll "disrupt the system"

my feelings exactly about "disrupting the system." I like things the way they are right now and I don't want someone new to come in. I can't imagine Raina with a partner, she's the independent type. Maybe she won't play a big part, just a small part in every episode.

I think it's possible to get too many cast memebers. They're doing the possible. I'm glad to see though that Tracey Needham is returning. Hopefully this won't last long because things are looking a bit crowded...

oh wow, that's is so ironic! Amy Jo Johnson was like my favorite actress back when I was like 9 years old when power rangers used to be on and now she's on The Division with my current favorite actress nancy mckeon. That is so random! Anyway I'm looking forward to the new season now... hopefully she is part of the main cast... I'm losing the interest in the show for some particular reason and she might actually liven up the show why with her athleticism and all that. I dig her ;)

There are too many cast members as it is....will we see even less of CD, Nate, Cap, and Jin with yet another actor who will get major screen time?

If they were going to add another full time cast member why couldn't it have been Jack or Teddy before he left for his new series?

They'd be better off showing more of the periphery characters like Ben or Cap's husband or Raina's boyfriend, etc instead of adding another full time character. Apparently this actress has a big following or appeals to the right demographics and is a move by Lifetime to get bigger ratings. If she was a regular on Felicity and Power Rangers she must be pretty young and will bring a young audience with her. It seems all the networks are looking for the young viewers.

Let's see... TD cast now has one older redhead(cap), one latino(Mag), one blonde(CD), one man(Nate), one black(Raina), one middle aged brunette former child actor(Jin), and now a former Power Ranger. I think they've got everything covered.

Maybe this is just a trial kind of thing. Like when Jack came on. They acted like he was a new detective, and he was really just additional storyline for Jinny's character. Maybe this girl will be the same way. Just my .02

I just hope she's improved as an actress since her Power Ranger days. That's the only thing I've seen of hers.

Adding her might just break the show...there are a lot of characters as it is. Unless they incorporate her into Raina's stories, I don't see why she should be there.

Never seen Power rangers and never cared to see it.

yeah...she may just be there to help with the story lines. she could be jin's high school friend or john jr's wife (one of them) or something.

if they do add her on to the cast, i doubt they'll develop major stories around her. look at raina and nate. they were additions, but haven't gotten very big storylines. nate's was lily and his love for cd while raina's was her moms, finding her birth mom, and this new guy. compared to the other characters, that's not much. so, amy's character may have even less stories than these two did. who knows.

I sense one of two things happening. Either Stacy (Amy Jo Johnson) will replace CD and CD will die. Or CD will live and there will be fighting between her and Stacy over Nate. Not sure if that scenario would be interesting, or would screw up the relationship with CD and Nate altogether and we DON'T want that. Why can't they just leave well enough alone. I was fine with the cast from season one. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they threw in Nate, but he should have been there from the beginning. And either Raina should have been there from the beginning too, or not there at all. I mean she's kewl and all...but eh. Sorry, I 'm just not one who likes change. Which is also why I think that CD and Nate should have been together since season one also. Because every time I see them together, it's like a huge stress reliever. Does anyone know what I mean? I'm not sure you can get too many people on a show. ER has 10 main characters and you still get to see a lot of each character and as for her interferring with CD and Nate I hope not. They've been through enough.

Good point. BUT if that's true, then why did they have to cut down the Facts of Life cast, if you can't have too many people? Something to wonder about.

They cut down the FOL cast because it was a half hour comedy, and they didnt have enough time to cover that many storylines. TD is an hour long drama...plenty of time.

I doubt she's going to be there as a conflict for cd and nate. this season cd's mainly going to be focusing on recovering. i don't think nate would end up going with this new girl, when cd, the one he's loved for over a year, just looked death in the eyes. you know?

BUT, I'm telling you how I forsee the Lifetime writters writting it. I mean I know it wouldn't make sense to bring this new girl into Nate's life right after CD's accident, BUT did it make sense that in the beginning of season three Jinny's marrying this guy Jack and you never hear anymore from Teddy? So see? I'm just saying how the writters would do it. Not how it SHOULD be done! lol ;)

EEEE, new cast member?! I don't want any more peoples on TD. They're now on with 12 on ER, 6 on SM, 4 on 1-800-Missing(which is a good thing!), and a zillion on Passions!!! To many characters to remember when trying to write a story,... which I'm working on right now!

I think its simple nostalgia for us 90's kids that grew up watching power rangers when we were like 8 or something. I am looking forward to seeing my childhood role model, amy jo johnson aka the pink ranger join the cast of the division with my current television role model, Nancy Mckeon. Now if only they can have the division throw in Audrey hepburn and Kate Hepburn related stuff then that tv show will keep me glued to the screen ;) I did dig that one line that Kate when recovering from her stroke had with her daughter about her daughter having a kid, and wanting to name it Kate and Kate is like awww after me? and she was like no after "Kate Hepburn" ... and of course that was a joke but I was laughing because I was like yayyyyyyyy Kate Hepburn was mentioned on the division LOL ;)

AWESOME! I loved her in Suzie Q! And OMG Kiera is so excited right now lol! SHe's like ; "AHHH!!!" hehe.. she really likes AJJ and is real excited she's on TD now :D

I feel the same way, i remember when i was watching power rangers and then the pink ranger wasn't her, i quit watching the show after that cuz she was my fav. lol

OMg I hated when she left the show, it was something having to do with all her power being wasted too, it was so sad!! that nasty Lord Zed! I always wanted her and Tommy to stay together forever too! I hated that australian chick that came on the show, after that I stopped watching..... ::sorry for those who hate the show or never seen it before:: ahhh memories anyways yeah Amy Jo Johnson isnt that bad of a girl...
