observations: I wonder who actually wrote the song "Moonlight Love" which was supposedly written by Leather. Also, the song "Surfin USA" is also heard. That's odd to me because the song wasn't a hit until 1963, & the gang split up when Rich went into the army in 1961. The tune "Do the Fonzie" leaves me dancing! Freddie & the Redhots..the singer is Fred Fox, one of the shows contributing writers. There must be about 50 extras in the background. I wonder if any of them later became famous. How did one get to be an extra on the show?

Marion: That's the 5th dance craze this month!

Joannie: no the twist is here to stay.

Howard: That reminds me the store needs a new paint shade!

Maybe Suzie Quatro wrote "Moonlight Love" (?) I knew that Fred Fox was the singer, because David77, I think told us in one of his post. Wouldn't it have been great to have been a extra on the show? They probably would have kicked me out though for staring at the cast.:D

according to the international happy days fansite (http://media.supereva.it/fonzie.freeweb/esuzrock.htm?p) it just says that the song was written FOR her, but says nothing about who wrote it - the episode where they went on the tv show and had that song stolen - "Stolen Melodies" Fred Fox junior (also a writer on the show) played Freddie of Freddie and the Red Hots - a great benefit to being a writer on the show i guess....

i think they just used friends, family and anyone hanging around as extras - there have been sooo many episodes where cast members' family has appeared on the show, its too hard to count
