I found out recently that he is a moderator of a disney trade list and when I posted info he banned me and my friends who stood up for me. I have listed below everything you need to know. He can't lie about his ebay feedback and he can't ban me here.

I would post all the info I have on him letting group members know and he deletes the post. And he kicked off all my friends who stood up for me just so the truth wont' be known about him. I am working to get his group shut down and found new info on him. He has another ID Gotham Master and his e mail is gothammaster@aol.com He is saying things that are not true about me and making me look bad when I am not. I have been trading for 3 years and he can't hurt my reputation. I have found people who have been ripped off by him and need more people. If you have been ripped off by him please don't be afraid to come forward or email me privately and your names won't be known. He will take months and months and not send anything and in trading he will say they are bad quality when they are not.

In his feedback it says it takes 2 months and they paid 127.00 or
less. People are unsastified with his quality some say unwatchable.
Someone even said they will sue him. So I would stay away from this
scam artist and hope I can stop more people from buying from him. I
also received an email from someone today stating this:

purchased a copy of a Disney movie from him sent it with two day of

record my movie saw the name of the other tape on it then the movie
was copies poor it was most likely taped on SP mode and he recoreded
it on EP When I question him about it he denied of course blaming the
PO for scanning it and ruining it. He asked me if I want it retaped
and I told him no because I dont want to wait a month in a half again

After I had email you I look on ebay and he was selling copies there
also but is now NARU his ebay id is ragstorichesfan he took some
person for $120.00 and it took him 61 days for the person to receive
there movie and they said they were unwatchable take a look so you
can ad it to your list. I dont think he sells to much because of his
work ethics. He claims he does not have a car and needs a ride to the
post office which is a excuse I think I still have the video he sent
me I keep it for proof. They also go on to say that if you have
traded with him he will sell your tapes. I know that part and he has
a smurf special of mine listed on his site.

And I saw someone else posting him a bad trader on their site.

Wow I'm so glad I stopped it in time. It has been 6 months and he did not send me anything for the 7 tapes I sent him. He would lie and say my tapes are unwatchable when the dark shadows I taped it myself. He just used it as an excuse. And plus I found other people who have been ripped off by him. So I'm not the only one.

I sent a tape several months ago. He told me he didn't get it. So I sent him another copy with delivery confirmation. He never sent me anything in return. The tape was for my sister who was looking for specific Hardy Boys episodes. Did anybody actually send a money order to Richard Johnson. Wouldn't another name for him be Dick Dick. What a tool.

He kicked me off his group just because I said Angie was a good trader and I've had no problems .

Thank you for looking out for the rest of us here. The bad apples can kill the good cheer but acts like this should be commended for looking out for other people's best intrestes. :cheers:

Thanks for telling us your experience. Richard Johnson doesn't even send for a one tape trade. How low can he get? And someone emailed me saying they bought a tape but quality was so terrible that they were ripped off by the quality. They still have proof of the tape to.

I too know him as ragstorichesfan. Thanks for letting me know he is listed as something else on here. He emailed me yesterday about a trade but I haven't responded yet.

Back when I was trading with him before I got a eamil from him saying he had some episodes I wanted and in exchange I would send him stuff I had. I told him his tapes were ready and as soon as he had mine done I would mail them. After that when ever I asked if he had my tapes done I would get a not yet, haven't had time, working on it or only couple episodes left. Finally after 6 months I gave up.

I am so glad to expose this scammer. It was like 6 or 7 months with me to. I hope he is reading these messages and knows that no one will want to trade or buy anything from him again. He is still telling lies about me! One of my friends email me the message. He said the tapes I sent him were bad quality. They were not. And something else new he is saying about me. And he also said before that he mailed my tapes back and he didn't. This guy is trouble big time.

I taped the John Ritter marathon today on tvland and really enjoyed it. I never heard of the show Hopperman before and liked it alot since John Ritter was the star of it. I would like to buy it from anyone or trade for it. I have a huge list. I would like to buy or trade for alot of epsiodes rather than just a few. Thanks.

I can't believe this guy continues to try and scam people, and still uses the same name doing it. Either he has a lot of gall or he is just plain stupid. Oddly, in the last few days his name has come up on several different websites, which tells me he is not new to the crimes he commits against people. I would be happy to testify against him in any court case. He took way too much money from me and caused me nothing but grief. I also wrote about him elsewhere on this site. Here is my story in a nutshell:

Boy, I did not think I would ever hear that name again, but Richard Johnson is as crooked as they come, do not trust him. Last year, this person posted all of the episodes of the 1995 Hardy Boys series, and 2 Hardy Boys Mickey Mouse Club serials on ebay. I jumped at the chance to bid on them, and I turned out to be the only bidder. Immediately, someone else on ebay sent me a warning about this person, but it was too late to retract my bid. After a lot of exchanging emails, I finally decided to send the money ($210) even though I didn't fully trust the person after being directed to their feedback by the concerned ebayer. But he kept trying to justify his actions and said that ragstorichesfan was not him. He was also working with another person going by the name of wolfgirl who was simultaneously ripping off someone else on ebay who also contacted me. However, He said that he also had all of the episodes of the 1995 Nancy Drew series as well. But months went by, and me and this other person never received the tapes we ordered. I exchanged a few more emails, and he said his mother had had a heart attack, and he was delayed. By this time, the time to report them to ebay had ran out, and the feedback boxes disappeared. Then about 6 months after I had ordered them, two tapes show up at my door, ostensibly the ones with all of the episodes of the 1995 series, but they were very crappy, and all of the episodes were NOT included like he said. Also several Nancy Drew episodes had the beginnings cut off by a "we now join this show in progress announcement, and he never bothered to retape those so that they were complete! As I went to go find replacements, I discovered someone on TV Tome who was selling again the 1995 series and the Mickey Mouse Club serials, ( which I never received, but later purchased much more superior copies from a far more reputable seller) so I went ahead and sent him an email. He never wrote back. As I examined the website more closely, I realized that a lot of the items were the same as ragstorichesfan. He had only given his name as Richard, and the woman he was working with was named Renee Chalofaux(wolfgirl) and that he was also from Vermont. So gothammaster is the same person. Watch out!!
