I thought my friend and I were the only two people who continues to watch ADW! we started watching it again by accident one day and have been hooked ever since. it is good wholesome television that addresses controversial social issues of the time. and it has such innocent and subtle love relationships and inuendos - so different from today's mindless comedy. I am so excite and so amazed at the amount of knowledge you all have about this sitcom

When Debbie Allen took over the directing of the show it became so real! before when Lisa Bonet was on the show it was so stereotypical and routine. In the first season Dwayne and Ron were the nerdest nerds. In the 2nd season they became real young adult men. The Maggie character was out of place TOTALLY!! After each season the show just got progressively real and had more substance based on real black college experiences! It was one of the best black T.V shows ever!!!!!!!

100% agree with everything you said, the last three or so seasons were my favorite. The show kept getting better and you really started to care about Dwayne & Whitley and the rest of the characters. I hadn't really gotten into syndicated reruns with any shows I liked, but I've been watching (and recording  ) episodes on Oxygen and I'm loving the show all over again.
