A tribute to John Ritter will fill the hour on Tuesday, September 16 rather than last season's season finale:

ABC 8:00 PM-9:00 PM SPECIAL EDITION OF PRIMETIME: A TRIBUTE TO JOHN RITTER (WORKING TITLE)

That's nice :) He deserves a tribute.

Will this be like ... an A&E Biography type of thing? Or will people come and talk about John? Or is it too early to know.

Thats great. I was having my doubts about ABC after watching the Osbournes for a half hour on 20/20.

Last night's tribute was the highest rated show of the night with a 9.4/16.
Easily beat competing Whoopi/Happy Family and Big Brother at 8-9pm.

At 8pm-8:30pm it averaged a 8.8/15 for the half hour. It peaked at 8:30pm-9pm with a 10.0/16. Easily winning both half hours, averaging a 9.4/16. It should be in the top 5 for sure this week, behind the upcoming Emmy's and Monday Night Football.
As for adults 18-49, it had a 4.5 for 8-8:30pm and a 5.5 for 8:30-9pm, averaging a 5.0, easily #1 for the night.

I thought they were reairing it on VH1 last night at 11:00. When I turned to it, though, it was about Gospel Rock stuff.

So, was that wrong at all? And, if not, will VH1 reair it?

VH-1 re-aired the ET Special, not ABC. And it was 11PM ET. VH1 will be reairing the ET special a few more times, including tonight at 10PM (I think). Check VH1.com for more airtimes.
