With the passing of John Ritter, I checked in on the "Three's Company" and "8 Simple Rules...." message boards...and believe me, those people are HURTING big time!

The regulars on those message boards (which are part of the "Sitcoms Online" boards, just like THIS one is) are loyal and devoted John Ritter fans, and they've taken his death quite hard.

Just imagine how WE would all feel if Tim Daly, Steven Weber or Crystal Bernard died suddenly of an undetected heart problem at a relatively young age....just THINK of how YOU would feel...well, that's just how the Ritter fans are feeling right now!

I was thinking that maybe as "Wings" fans, we could post a message (perhaps from one of us representing the group) expressing our condolences to the John Ritter fans on those Ritter-related message boards.

I just think that it would be a nice thing to do....from one group of sitcom fans to another.

I welcome any thoughts or comments on this...Thank you.

Thanks Stace. That was a nice thing for you to do.
I know everyone finds his death very shocking. I was talking to my mom about John Ritter the other day tho, so it seems odd. I don't really watch any of his shows, but he guest starred on Felicity which my mom likes.
They devoted part of 20/20 to him tonight. He talked about wanting to be remembered as someone who "plucked the golden thread a few times" that runs through everyone, as an example of our connected humanity. I think it was a very good way to put it. How people are affected by artists, and it's kind of beyond words. You just feel it in your heart. And I definitely think he was one of those people. ;)

I just checked the "Three's Company" message board, and several people posted "Thank you" responses to Stace's condolence message from this group....The John Ritter fans really seemed to appreciate it. In fact, one poster mentioned that John's guest role on "Wings" was one of her favorite Ritter appearances!
