I love this episode !! I set my VCR, and when I got home, I watched it !! I love Tootie's word association theory, I always remember that story when I take my chem exams. But, I've always wondered, who exactly is HG Wells and how does he relate to mercury ? Sorry, but I can't think right now, and that question was bothering me !
(The name HG Wells sounds very familiar to me)

yea it was a great episode...and i no what they were going through cramming for finals!!! and recently i have been cramming for mid-terms and also i am doing chemistry now but i remember in 6th we did this thing and when were learning chemical symbols our teacher refered each symbol to a long story so we would remember them!!

I thought this episode was great! I rushed home from school to watch it. I use word association too! By the way, H.G. Wells was an author. Who knows how he ralates to Mercury...wait, I'm pretty sure he wrote Journey to the Center of the Earth, or something like that. Anyway, I laughed throughout the entire episode! I can't wait for Graduation!

I just remembered H.G. Wells wrote "The Invisible Man" !

In case people were confused like I was by the last poster's comments:
"The Invisible Man" was written by H.G. Wells and "Invisible Man" was written by Ralpf Ellison. I have read Ellison's and it is a masterpiece and when I saw someone saying that Wells's wrote that book I had to do some research! I always associated Wells's with writing futuristic novels about time travel.
I love this episode, mostly because I have pulled every single trick they pulled and then some so I didn't have to study for finals or write a paper (Anyone need to go to Wal-Mart at 2am or better yet, my friend and I wasted about 3 hours last spring finals looking for cheap plane tickets last spring!) College finals are so much more fun to stay up late and waste time! Mid-terms are in a few weeks!! Really good episode!!

H.G. Wells wrote "War of the Worlds" and "The Time Machine."

"Hg" is the symbol for mercury in the Periodic Table of Elements (from the Latin word for mercury, Hydrargyrum (meaning: liquid silver))
