I would like some input on this subject please.

If you were to have 3 VCRs.... One to play the VHS tape that you want dubbed, and the other 2 VCRs to record that tape at the same time. All this done by splitting RCA jacks so you would have 2 video output and 4 audio output. Is the audio / video output signal quality being jeopardized??

Or on the other hand would this be any different??

VCR 1 playing tape to be dubbed and run a output set of RCA's to VCR 2.
Then run coaxial output from VCR 1 to VCR 3. .....again you have VCR 1 playing tape to be dubbed & VCR's 2&3 recording. Is the audio / video output signal being jeopardized??

You can do that. It does work. I've tried it but didn't really like what I saw. It seems like the sound is lower and the picture seems graining. I guess because it's running from the TV to another VCR and then thorough that VCR to another.
But that's just my opinion. If it was really good quality tapes it may not be too bad.

your talking about recording from TV to VCR 1 , then while recording take VCR 1's output down to VCR 2's input.... then VCR 2's output down again to the 3rd VCR's input. That would be outputed 3 times. ..or atleast 2 times between VCR's

I'm talking about playing VCR 1 with the tape to be dubbed inside then outputed once from VCR 1 to 2 other VCR'S ....not recording from TV.

This method i'm refering to.....to be done either by VCR 1'S output RCA'S split into VCR 2&3'S inputs. (2 VIDEO & 4 AUDIO)

....or either you can do this method..... VCR 1's RCA & COAX outputs at the same time. take VCR 1's RCA outputs and run it to VCR 2's RCA inputs..then take VCR 1's coax's output and run it to VCR 3's coax input.....and then hit Play on VCR 1 & RECORD on VCR 2&3.

i lurvvvvvvvvvvv this stuff okay to try and simplify things whenever you split a signal 1 into 2 ,1 into 3 etc the voltage stays the same but the current decreases this current drop should affect the signal entering either vcr and give you degraded picture and sound the idea is to try too keep interruptions to the signal at a minimum when you talk about daisy chaining in option 2 the second vcr becomes the break in the chain the question here is does it create less of an affect than the first setup if you cant tell from the picture and sound you will need a multimeter probe the rca ends 1 to 6 of your first option take a note of the voltage which is ac not dc then probe the ends of the rca output from vcr 2 in option 2 is this voltage higher or lower than the first if it is higher go with this option

if this cant be done you will need to view the results or find someone who has done this and ask them about quality

It can be done, thats for sure. Your best bet for good picture quality is the use of a PLAY vcr or dvd player hooked to a dual video deck, like a go deck. Of course, several go decks can be hooked together to create a duplication machine that a lot of professional services and offices use.

My friend, who has always had go decks since they day they were released, doesnt believe me, but if there is a good movie or show on, and somebody asks me for it, instead of copying it, i can record two copies in real time, both decks at once. But i havent used the timer for this. I can use the timer for one deck, then just hit record for the other deck. I dont mess with vhs much anymore, but its just nice to know you can, you know. :)
