I like to watch Yankee games on TV, but I dont really keep up with the records and batting averages, and things like that.

Im more of a moderate fan.

Other obsessions of mine....

DVD Collection (over 70, counting TVonDVD)
Disney Movies (i LOVE the old disney movies, but the new ones are good too)
Saturday Night Live (early 90s were best)

I totally agree! I hate SNL now. I don't find it funny at all. I loved in the early 90s when people like Chris Farley, and Adam Sandler were there. Those were definately my favorites.

A couple years back (i think 2000), Chevy Chase was on "Live With Regis and Whoever It Was Then" and I remember him mentioning that an "Australian Vacation" was in the planning stages.

Of all the days to stay home sick, boy was I lucky!

Then a couple of months ago I saw something online about "Australian Vacation" and how the story was just never working out, so it was scrapped.
I havent been able to find the site since.

SNL is still pretty good, but NOWHERE as near as good as the early 90s.
The original cast was great too.

But SNL lost something when Will Ferrell left 2 years ago, and it hasnt come back.
I cant see anybody on SNL now that I would think of as GREAT comedians.

It's NOT a chickflick, though in the begginning it looks like it is. but it's not. Yea a guy would like it....I just wouldn't recommend it to couples...lol unless you're already married or have an extremely strong relationship.

It's like a dark comedy...it has scenes where you are laughing out loud...but then you realize...wow this is really sick...how can I be laughing at this..lol but you still do.

another pic from the War of the Roses

I KNOW I DO!!! I LOVE musicals and people that I know have great taste in movies and in musicals have completely recommended it. ....My dilemna is getting to my local blockbuster to rent it...or I could wait till it comes on pay per view....hmmm...

and YES you DO need to see "The War of the roses" BUt I must warn you, I've shown it to several different friends and have gotten different reactions, Some loved it , others were completely freaked out by it....It really depends on your taste in things.

Danny DeVito and Dark Comedies what is it with that

barwars
09-11-2003, 09:49 PM
I was afraid of that "Death To Smoochy" was trash.

I just found out that Danny DeVito is either directing or producing that new movie with Jason Biggs and Christina Ricci (but I cant think of the movie name)

Yes "Death To Smoochy" was trash...but that's an example of a bad dark film...although it IS a danny film.

even though I haven't seen it "Throw momma off the train" is another Dark Comedy directed by Danny
