When Kate & Allie was cancelled in 1989, does anyone know what show took it's place? I think K & A aired around 8:30 on Mondays.

Also, what shows were before and after K & A? Since it was one of my favorite shows at the time (and still is!), I can only seem to remember watching it, and not the shows around it.

I wish I had kept the TV Guides from that time...

I have a TV timetable thing, but not on hand right now....

I remember seeing that Newhart ran before or after it for a few years...it also ran opposite ALF one season I believe...also, if I'm not mistaken, didn't Major Dad take it's place?

KATE & ALLIE was replaced, on CBS Monday nights at 8:30 P.M., by the short-
lived comedy series COMING OF AGE (starring Paul Dooley, who had played
Wimpy in the 1980 movie POPEYE). That show was replaced by the even
shorter-lived PEOPLE NEXT DOOR, which in turn was replaced by the hit MAJOR
DAD. When KATE & ALLIE began, in 1984, it was preceded by SCARECROW AND
MRS. KING and followed by NEWHART. In 1986, it led off the Monday night
block on CBS, followed by MY SISTER SAM. In 1987, it was preceded by
FRANK'S PLACE and followed by NEWHART. KATE & ALLIE left the air in the
fall of 1989.
