View Full Version : "Crate Expectations"
pilotguy 09-11-2003, 02:47 AM WOW, talk about making something from nothing!
The plot of this episode is simple at best....the gang trying to surprise Joe for his birthday and things getting all mixed up. It's been done before on other sitcoms, but somehow this "Wings" episode takes that basic plot and makes a fun, likeable episode out of it.
This is a great ensemble episode...EVERYONE has very funny lines and the gang works together beautifully.
Plus, these early "Antonio" episodes amaze me on how well the new character fits in with the rest of the cast and the show...but Tony Shalhoub never comes across as overbearing or trying to be a "new kid on the block" upstart. The Italian cabbie was just a natural fit for the show...even with his very first "regular" episode it seemed as if Antonio had been with the show from Day #1!
Yes, I really enjoyed this "Crate" episode...nothing special or earth-shattering, but a LOT of fun!
And don't forget....TONIGHT'S upcoming episode is the CLASSIC "Ladies Who Lunch"....so get your raw meat ready!
Chad22 09-11-2003, 03:07 AM Yeah that was a good episode. I Started laughing hard when they were on that boat.
Krista2882 09-11-2003, 11:35 AM actually, I don't realliy like that episode that much. lol.
There are a couple of funny parts, like when Helen decided to announce on the PA system throught the airport that she was single, she liked it that way, and didnt want to be set up with anyone. lol
and when Lowell was walking around wearting the Mexican hat... hahahaha.
and I don't remember what he said, but Brian said something really sarcastic and funny when Joe made some comment about them getting two catalogs in the mail on the same day.. hahaha.
but other than those couple of parts that made me laugh ot loud, it isn't really one of my favorite episodes...
but yeah! tonight's episode- "Ladies Who Lunch" is one of my top 10 favorites! yay!
"One minute we're spanking eachother with meat, then the next, things got weird."
nantucket_wings 09-11-2003, 12:16 PM watch out for Joes underware, it will leave you seeing spots,

Aw boy, Krista, here we go again (disagreeing about "Wings" episodes)!
What do YOU know about good "Wings" episodes anyway? After all, YOU'RE the one who wanted to give Stace's 31st birthday party a CIRCUS theme!

You know, I think you're right, Krista...my apologies....
The next time I make a mistake like that, just stand there like Fay with a frozen smile on your face and sweetly say, "Please stop doing that!".
(That's HILARIOUS when Fay does that!)

hahaha yeah!
I love when she does that too. hehe
Chocoholic 09-13-2003, 01:27 PM I love that episode too  It's one of my favorites. And yes, Pilotguy, I agree. Antonio always seemed to fit right in, like he'd been on the show the whole time.
