To do a google search, try to zero down the results as far as possible, starting with the person's email address. If too little shows up, then try their name with quotes around it to get better results (i.e. "John Doe"). If you know the street address, type that in as well (i.e. "John Doe" "1234 W. 4th St"). More than likely you'll have to try to plug in a variety of things to find out if there's anything negative about a person on the internet.

jen is right here use every combination possible of their real name /username and email also ask people on this board they may have traded with them
another useful tip when you search in google it won't show results for google groups which can contain bad trader threads click on google groups then continue the rest of your search
