Which file sharing services do you use?
The first thing I ever used was Napstar (sp?) until it went bust. Then I got Audiogalaxy (the best one EVER), and was heartbroken when that followed in Napstar's footsteps.
Then I switched to Kazaa, which I happily used for ages, until I heard they were gonna start sueing people for it. Plus it always gave me virius anyway, so I didn't miss it when I removed it from my PC. I'd downloaded all the important files I'd wanted to get.
I now rely on WinMX for songs, but it's really quite crappy compared to the others and doesn't let you pause downloads so if you get disconnected you have to start all over again from the beginning.
The only times I download music now is if the song I want is old/rare/hard to find/unavaiable on CD, and to sample the work of new groups/artists so I can make my mind up easier about spending money on their CDs. I'm Pro-File sharing though, since CDs are so expesnive, and since I can download episodes of TV shows that haven't yet aired in my country...like Buffy and Smallville for examples.
What about you? Thoughts and recommedations please. :)
