Actress raves over new projects
Special to Kids Stuff
Actress Raven will star in her own show, "That's So Raven."
It's not so easy being so Raven! On top of starring in her own show, "That's So Raven," the cute and vivrant 17-year-old actress also stars in a new Disney Channel movie, "The Cheetah Girls."
In it, Raven plays a teen fashion queen who dreams of leading her friends to musical stardom. Raven is also working on a solo CD among many other projects. Time For Kids got the scoop on all of them!
TFK: On the new Disney Channel original movie "The Cheetah Girls," you play Galleria Garibaldi. What's your character like?
Raven: Galleria is the leader of "The Cheetah Girls" and she's a very strong girl but she's also very weak in a sense because she gets caught up with the whole Hollywood thing. She's very focused all the way through, very determined to become a star.
TFK: What attracted you to want to work on "The Cheetah Girls"?
Raven: The first thing that attracted me is that I got to act, sing and dance. When I read the script, I loved Galleria's determination and her wanting so badly to be in the business.
TFK: What is the message behind the movie?
Raven: In your life, there will be a lot of different twists and turns but always stay with friends and family, and you'll be OK.
TFK: Can you clue us in on what's in store for Raven on "That's So Raven"?
Raven: Raven gets a boyfriend and gets into a lot more crazy things ... but it's hilarious!
TFK: We all know Raven's special psychic power is to see the future. If you could have any special power, what would it be?
Raven: To be an alchemist and turn things into gold.
TFK: What's it like doing the voice of Monique on "Kim Possible"?
Raven: She's fun to play because I just get to go crazy on her voice. I can do all types of ups and downs and not have to worry about how my face is coming off on screen.
TFK: You had your first acting job on "The Cosby Show" at the ripe old age of 3. What was it like to work with Bill Cosby?
Raven: Bill Cosby was a wonderful person to work with. He was very funny, and I learned a lot.
TFK: What's your favorite thing to do when you're not acting or singing?
Raven: Cook. I can make the juiciest turkey you've ever tasted.
TFK: What's in your future?
Raven: I'm going to be doing the movie "Sparkle" and I'll also be doing "All American Girl" (based on the book by Meg Cabot). I'm working on a solo album and the soundtrack for "That's So Raven." We're also doing a third season of the show.
I graduate high school on Sept. 14. So I have to think about college. I'm going to take a break but I want to go to culinary school. I just want to stay sane in all this craziness.
Haha I got to it before anybody...lol i always do *evil laugh*
