I guess Anthony missed this board.

King Biscuit has just told me the news we've all been waiting for... A DVD of the complete & uncut Monkees concert filmed on August 31, 2001 is now available for pre-order! When you place an order through this page, it only verifies the user's cerdit card. You will not be charged until they ship the product. But as always, there's a catch: In order to produce this video, King Biscuit will need at least 500 verified orders (which shouldn't be a problem since the petition has over 530 signatures. When they get that many orders, King Biscuit will do a one-time limited production run of 1,000 extended & uncut DVDs at $49.98 each. Only then will they charge the buyer's credit card and ship the DVD. As for bonus features, they have little to no resources to give us anything that wasn't included on the original DVD other than the full concert itself, so nothing is planned at this point. Thanks for everybody's support during this campaign! Place your order now and own a piece of Monkees history!

Hi Tammy,

When did you order your DVD? Mine hasn't arrived yet and I was beginning to worry about it, but if you waited a long time for yours to arrive I guess I'll have to be more patient!

I pre-ordered mine about a month before the release date. I would have thought that yours would be there by now, but maybe they're just taking time to process the order, or it could be on its way. If you want to check, someone told me that you should email Bryan Roman at broman@kbfh.com I hope you get it soon!!

Yahoo, my DVD arrived today :D I can't wait to watch it! It's too bad Mike wasn't there, though.

I saw them live once in the early 80s at the Chautauqua Institute in New York and enjoyed the concert.

I'm glad it finally got there! They must have gotten backed up with all the orders they got.

I've been to 13 monkees group and solo concerts (obsessed?) since 2001, and I just heard that Davy is heading back to NY again in a few months so I'm getting ready to go again! :)

Wow Tammy, you sure are a devoted fan! I enjoyed the DVD, and was surprised to see Mickey playing guitar most of the time rather than drums, and even Davy played guitar a little! The lead guitar player they had was very good. I'm a hack guitar player and can stumble my way through Monkees songs, but am light years behind that guy!

A local radio station (KVTA AM1520) used to have a nostalgia/oldies show on Sunday afternoons. A couple years ago I was listening one Sunday while out walking the dog, and was surprised when Peter Tork called into the show! I think he was calling in to promote his band Shoe Suede Blues, but talked for a long time about his whole life. If I remember correctly he was on for over an hour and I was glued to the radio the entire time. I only wish I could have recorded the interview. Not sure why I mentioned it in this thread, other than maybe you'd be interested.

Enjoy your next Monkee/Davy concert!
