O...M...G...I swear, it's like she wants us to fail. Dear lord. I've had so many quizzes and Tests/Quizzes are worth 80% of our grade. I mean, so much for my hope to be valedictorian. Tomorrow we have a quiz on Proofs. EVERY single person I've talked to in BOTH her Geometry classes don't understand them. I mean, not only do I not understand them, but it'll mean memorizing all those postulates and thereoms and omg I can't do this. I like my teacher, she's nice...but omg she doesn't give us a break. And it's like 50 million homework questions a night. It's ridiculous. Now, I can take a test with a proof ON it...but I can't take a quiz on JUST proofs. *sigh* Anyone have any suggestions on how to learn this stuff...quickly???

That absolutely doesn't work. The first person to demonstrate subliminal conditining later admitted it was a hoax to launch his advertising agency, and subsequent tests have failed to show any such effect. It's been used in advertising, but there is no scientific basis for it. Study.

I'm trying to study! There's just so much! And I don't know what chapters it'll be on and I never got a chance to ask questions b/c I was out with half of my class getting our picture taken and we were gone for the whole class basically. Hell, I wouldn't have even known what the quiz was about if my friend hadn't mentioned it.

I'm sorry Lauren. :( I'm even sorrier that I can't offer anything but my sympathy. I feel your pain......well not yet, because we havent been introduced to proofs yet....but I will soon because I'm taking geometry this year too. *sigh*

I hated Geometry so much. I took it last year. Luckily I had a good teacher and I did really well in that class. I can relate to the trouble you're having with it, you study and study and it dosent seem to work. I've already had trouble with the math I'm taking this year (Algebra II), and all I can suggest for you to do is to practice the problems over and over and see if you can get someone to check you answers. The more you do them, the more you can see the mistakes your making. That's what I did and I eventually figured out how to do the stuff. I hope things start to turn around for you! :D

I loved Geometry. I failed the first time, but had fun. Second time I got A's.. it was def. the teaching. Alg II on the otherhand was pure hell. Biggest bitch ever.

 My Algebra 2 teacher last year was kickass!! She was also REALLY pretty and VERY fit (not muscular fit but she was very fit). She had the best clothes!! She had this kickass leather jacket she would wear a lot in the wintertime and I wanted to steal her jacket. :D

Yeah, I don't really enjoy Algebra 2, but I comprehend it much more than geometry, even though I prolly wont make as well in it as I did geometry.

last year, I would listen to everyone complain about Geo. and just laugh because I was in IMP (honors class...but really easy) and we didnt have to do any proofs...our geo consisted of "find the area of the polygon.." I really didnt learn much of anything, but i switched out of that program and now am in honors pre-calc, and my friends are lost, but for some reason, I think I get it...tomorrow I will be eating my words as I realize I have my whole hwk wrong...lol

but LAUREN GOOD LUCK!!!!!! YOU WILL SURVIVE!!!!!!!!

Don't worry that doesn't apply to everyone. I got straight A's all throughout Algebra I and Geometry. I hated geometry though because my teacher didn't teach us very well. It was frustrating.
