View Full Version : Does Anybody Remember...?
DianeChambers87 09-07-2003, 10:41 AM Does anybody remember that show on Disney in like 1996 or 1995 called "Flash Foward" ....I remember I loved it. and the Main character well the boy was called Tucker and I can't remember what the girls name was but they lived next to each other their entire lives and stuff...it was a great show.
Polniaczek033 09-07-2003, 10:56 AM no...hmm..
Swimfan85 09-07-2003, 11:05 AM yup that stared Ben Foster as Tucker and that Girl Jewel something as Becca Fisher, it was a funny show
laceyinthesky 09-07-2003, 11:07 AM Yeah, I remember watching it. I actually used to enjoy watching that show. You can find out more about who played in it at imdb.com.

BECCA!! Yea that was her name!!! Man those were the days for Disney!! I loved that show! I even remember the theme song and everything. Even though I do like Even stevens it was SOOO much better than the new disney shows! It could beat Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire, and Raven any day.
PZelda 09-07-2003, 11:19 AM ARE YOU KIDDING!!!!!!! I LOVED that show! I watched it A-L-L the time! :D
Sam, you're too young to remember "Flash Forward" beacuse it was on when you were 4 years old and it was only on for one season....it didn't last that long. Plus, it was aimed at the tween crowd. I remember I was 10 when this was on. I think Jewel Staite is VERY pretty and still is. :)
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 09-07-2003, 11:21 AM Ahhh, I love that show! I miss it so much. Gah, disney sucks now. But if the show was on when I was like only six, they must of shown repeats because I remember watching it when I was a little older...
DianeChambers87 09-07-2003, 11:22 AM it was on for me when I was about 8 or 9 Yea that sounds about right.

Yep, it was on in reruns until about 1998 or 1999...It definitely wasn't on past 2000, that's for sure.

Yeah, then that's what I'm thinking of because I was 9 and 10 then.

Yeah, I was about 13 when they took it off.
While on the subject of old shows on Disney, does anybody remember "Avonlea"? I think it was on from 1989 until 1997. I'm not sure of the exact start and end years, but it was around there. I LOVED that show and wish they would bring it back to Disney. :crying:
Ewan's My Man 09-07-2003, 12:11 PM Of course I remember it!!!
OMG...does anyone remember that show...o god...I can't remember the name. It was two girls...a blonde and a brunette...and they were like best friends. O god...I loved that show...I can't remember what that was either.

And Flash Foward was good too.

PZelda 09-07-2003, 05:21 PM While we're at it, anyone also remember "The Torkelsons"? This was on Disney from 1989 until 1991 (or 1993, I'm not sure, but IMDb says it was on til 91), and it had Chuck Norris on it, which many of you guys know as Minkus on "Boy Meets World", when he was really young. He was a cutie pie on that show! :D It was an AWESOME show and was only on in reruns until 1996/97, I think. I miss that show so much. :crying:
OMG, I used to watch "Ready or Not" ALL THE TIME! But for some reason, I have zero memory of it now...

I was completely off by when TT started... I IMDbed it again and it says it was on from 1991-92, but I remember that when the credits rolled, it would sometimes say 1993. So, I dunno.
Connie Ray played the mom....are you sure she was in "House of Cards"? Because I checked her profile and it doesn't say anything in there about her being in that. But, she was indeed in "Stuart Little" (the 1st one) as Aunt Tina Little. The last recent movie she was in was "How to Deal" and she played Marion Smith...It just came out this year. :) I need to check this out.
I must be doped up on drugs, because I'm not thinking of Chuck Norris, but Lee Norris....I don't know where I got Chuck from.
Yep, Olivia Burnette! Little tidbit for you...She's now on "Peacemakers", a TV series, in which she plays Molly. I need to check this out when I see it. :D

Are you sure? I was a HS freshman and watched Disney ALL the time the 1999-2000 season, and I don't recall TT being on in reruns then. I remember up to 1998/99 for sure, but I don't recall it being on past 2000.

When I got off after my last post in this thread, I got to thinking...I remember TT being on up to 1999, but it definitely wasn't on past early 2000 for sure. They definitely yanked it off Disney before I finished my freshman year in HS. You said it was on at 5 at night...I didn't watch TV that much at 5pm but after 6 I did.
I REALLY wish I could remember all the episodes of "Ready or Not". All I can remember is that I watched it all the time but I have absolutely zero memory of any of the episodes I watched.
They HAVE to bring back the old Disney. The tween Disney STINKS. Hillary Duff and everybody needs to get their asses off Disney and let the REAL Disney take over. Where the **** is my "Avonlea"? Now THAT was quality Disney. It ran for like EIGHT YEARS (I may be wrong on the year) not 65 episodes, and it was actually one HOUR long. I remember it was on every night from 9:20 to 10:20 (weird timeslot, I know), and there was only ONE commercial break the whole time, at about 9:50.
Sigh...

Me too! I gotta give Diane props for starting this thread. It sent everybody who answered (except Sam) down memory lane. :D I believe I am one of the oldest that replied to this thread...I REMEMBER when they used to show National Lampoon movies on Disney! I kid you not.

lol Thanks Zelda, I was looking at the even stevens or Lizzie Mcguire post..and I was thinking "yea those are ok ... but I wish the shows were better.." and then I thought "Wait a minute! I forgot about Flash Foward!" and The theme started playing in my head! That was a great series!! I miss it so much! I do miss the old Disney Channel, before they started making their movies....aka before "the thirteenth year." Where they would show National Lampoons, movies like the Parent trap, Annie, Freaky Friday (original and 95 version), teen witch, and they would have Mickey cartoons. OH yea and Growing pains was on there too!

Teen Witch. OMG, I loved that movie. And yeah, I remember watching Growing Pains on there. It's the first place I saw the show. *sigh* What happened to that channel? It's soo pathetic now. :(
DianeChambers87 09-07-2003, 08:34 PM It is sad. I mean Sister Sister has been over played for YEARS! It's been on tbs forever, I use to watch it when I was like7 or 8, Boy meets world IMO does not belong on Disney. At least the late years don't, they deal with some pretty heavy issues. The "disney channel movies" are getting progressively worse....the last one was just sad... I think it went something like "the tiger girls" or I don't know. I wish they would go back to the good old days, shows, and movies.

It was the cheeta girls. My younger sister was watching it and I thought it was one of the stupidest things I've ever seen

Oh yea the "Cheetah girls" lol I know I'm going to get burned by the Raven fans for that one ;) lol. Yea my 2 little sisters were watching it and I saw a few scenes....and it was probably one of the worst displays of acting this year.
Ewan's My Man 09-07-2003, 09:14 PM The Torkelsons!!! OMG!! I love it!!
Yea, Disney is...blah. Their original movies suck. And ya know...they make so many...yet they only show a specific few. I mean I thought REady to Run was actually ok to watch and I haven't seen THAT for at least a year. Now, I LOVE Boy Meets World and Sister Sister...I can SIT through Lizzie McGuire and That's So RAven. But The Proud Family? Kim Possible? Gag me PLEASE! Oh, and Even Stevens...eh...blah. And yea, I think those are the only shows they ever have on. Well, unless you stay up till 4 AM and you watch The Jersey and So Weird. Smart Guy was fun in the beginning, but I've seen every episode 50 million times. Growing Pains I love but it's only on ABC Family now at 1:00 and 1:30...uh yea, I only see that on Saturdays.
But seriously. I don't care if they keep Lizzie McGuire, I WANT them to keep Boy Meets World and Sister, Sister...for the love of god get rid of Proud Family and Kim Possible (of course, I love WIll Friedle) and BRING BAK THE TORKELSONS, GROWING PAINS, READY OR NOT, FLASH FOWARD, SO PZELDA WILL BE HAPPY BRING BACK AVONLEA!!

Ewan's My Man 09-07-2003, 10:53 PM Oh, and ya know, I loved the Mickey Mouse Club...that was what it was called right? Like the one with ya know...Britney Spears...and all them. And they showed like a marathon of it, but never anymore. And I mean, I LOVED it.

wizard12 09-07-2003, 11:31 PM Flash Forward was a great show. It was so funny.
Blair_Warner02 09-08-2003, 11:38 AM Those were the days. I remember all those shows, my whole family would sit down together and watch "The Torkelsons" on The Disney Channel I still remember the theme song to both "The Torkelsons" and "Almost Home" It always bugged us that they dropped two of the kids and never mentioned them again. I wish they would bring it back to the Disney Channel or better yet put it on DVD, I think there are only about 10 votes for it on TVShowsOnDVD.com. I would also like it if "Out of This World" was still on.
