That spinoff is Checking In which starred the Jeffersons Maid-Florence Johnston. The spinoff aired in April of 1981 and ended in April of 1981. Only 4 episodes were produced and i doubt very seriously of someone recorded any of those episodes. I only saw the pilot which was a Jeffersons episode. So unless TV LAND makes it apart of a boxset, it will always be known as the LOST SPINOFF OF THE 1980's.

Well i know for a fact no one has the show in their collection. And I don't see TV Land airing the show in a boxset so it's a spinoff that may never be seen again.

I don't know, SOLOMON. Anything is possible. Look at "Gloria" How many if us acutally expected it to air a few times on TV LAND?

But Gloria was on the air for a year so they had 20 something eps. On the flip side, Checking In was on the air for 30 days with a total 0f 4 episodes. I don't think TV LAND is going to touch that sitcom.

It does not matter about episode amounts, SOLOMON. TV LAND could do a maids boxset or hotel/restaurant box set.

Isn't there like a Library of Congress or something in New York? Well- alot of those kind of libraries (I think there's also one in the UK) keep records of everything broadcast on television, sometimes the studios or networks also have archives- so it's possible that the Checking In episodes are in one of those archives. Trouble is, you have to lie about doing research to get into archives. It's unlikely absolutely everything is archives, I don't even know when the archives started- or if they're converting the archives to dvd or vcd (VHS takes up a hell of alot of space) but it still is possible to find any shortlived shows.
Alot of archives also store anything that was legally recorded for one reason or the other- that's why some rocky horror fans say that there are rare stage-show recordings in the new york archives.
