View Full Version : Drunken nights
Czas na Zywiec 09-06-2003, 02:31 PM Dude...college is great. I've never been so drunk in my life as I was last night. I'm been buzzed a few times, but that's it. I love the warm glow you have going through your veins and things are blurry when you move your head...then sharpen back up when you stop. I guess I'm still a little affected from last night, but it's such a great feeling. I used to think getting drunk was just drinking some stuff and throwing it up, then waking up the next morning with a huge hangover. I woke up this morning with so much energy...and I wasn't sick. I felt even better than last night. Now I know how my weekends are going to be like from now on. I'll probably come back later to this post and feel like an idiot.....so if anyone has some drinking stories, share them. :D It won't be a pointless post then.
bandito 09-06-2003, 02:38 PM If you keep drinking, those energy mornings will quickly turn into some pretty SICK mornings:lol: Trust me, been there done that!
Mistress Slap 09-06-2003, 02:48 PM "GET THE F*** OVER YOURSELF YOU IDIOT WHOSE MIND IS FILLED WITH MINDLESS DRIVEL ABOUT DRINKING!"
Someone else (I won't say his name...) said that and I agree. You're acting like an immature brat who's trying to look cool by doing things like drinking and most of us are annoyed by it. -.-
Krisalicious 09-06-2003, 02:52 PM I don't know how you can like getting drunk so much. It's dangerous...yeah, maybe nothing's happening to you now, but in the future, you could get sick. Yes, I know everyone does it in college but from all your posts about it these days you seem like you do it a lot. And maybe if you keep doing it and doing it and doing it you'll become dependent on it and turn into an alcoholic..watch out Chris...being drunk is nothing to be proud of and constantly brag about, but that's jmo...
*Pleasant Tomorrow* 09-06-2003, 03:01 PM I agree with what everyone else said. It's very dangerous. Myself, I don't ever plan on drinking...of all the bad stories about it, it's just not worth it in my opinion. You should reconsider about that whole drinking thing. It's not a good thing to make a habit.
vienna waits 09-06-2003, 03:04 PM If I believed what you said, then I'd agree w/ everyone else... but I think you're either completely lying right now or exagerrating atleast.
°Bubbly Blonde° 09-06-2003, 03:25 PM If you're doing this just for attention, you are being idiotic, I do not care if you get drunk every weekend and, I could be wrong, but I dont think anyone else does either, and I wouldnt come here to talk about drinking or any of my wild experiences, I wouldnt want the world to know Im going to be dying early....it comes off as bragging, and I know that's what people in college do because I have a lot of friends in college but they dont talk about it constantly.
Central Perk 09-06-2003, 03:57 PM Ever since you started college all you've done on SitcomsOnline is brag about "drinking", You may have realized that you like to "drink" but I've realized that you've turned into an attention whore and an @$$. I also agree with the quote that Lynn posted. No one care's about your drinking, so please just get over yourself already.

Pedantic 09-06-2003, 04:33 PM Hey, maybe you should focus on things like, oh, say, COLLEGE. You won't make it through the first QUARTER this way. Drunk people are annoying as hell. SHUT THE F*** UP!!!!
Hollow 09-06-2003, 04:36 PM i havent been drunk but one time me and my homeys were hanging out in the field and we found a bottle of beer and vincent told me to drink it so i did
Czas na Zywiec 09-06-2003, 04:36 PM What the hell? I get drunk once in my life, once, and you all think I'm some kind of addicted broken down person? So I've mentioned it a few times, big deal. It's not like I've filled my sig with quotes or sent everyone 3000 PMs or posted about 17674 topics. This is the only post I recall making, and it wasn't meant as a 'Look at me, I need attention' type thing. More like 'I've been depressed most of the last 3 years and I'm actually able to step outside the house once in a while.' The only reason I post here is because this place is so open (Or at least I thought so) and I was just trying to be humorous. Wow, either this is one big joke, or people can't take a little goofing off unseriousness.
Thanks TJL for at least trying to poke fun at it. That was the point of this post.
Chad22 09-06-2003, 04:36 PM Driinking Like that can seriously mess up your life. I Plan on never touching the stuff myself...

Uh...I am. I've been going to every class for the past three weeks, doing everything I need to do. I'm just fine, thanks.
Wow, I'm just surprised at how negative everyone is reaccting. I just posted this post for kicks, a joke, something funny, etc., not to get attention. I never knew everyone had such a problem with it. I thought I had some friends around here who'd actually be happy for me for going out and not being chained to the hotel. I guess I was wrong.
Oh also, since everyone is being so negative, I gues I don't really need to be here anymore. I post a few posts a week, but I think I'll just quit. Stop bothering everyone now that I have my life back on track. I really thought I wouldn't see the day, but things have REALLY changed around here. Too bad.

Okay, that statement pisses me the hell off. Where did I ever mention that I drive while drunk? As I've said before, last night was the only time I've ever been drunk in my 18 years I've been alive. I've never been near drunk before. Is that bad? I may be in in college, but I'm not stupid. I've been the DD every single time me and my friends went out in high school. Now, I don't even have a car. We're aware that there are dangers out there, and we always have a DD. Always.
People's attitudes these days just really amaze me.

I think people are just being worried about you - that's all. It's no reason to leave. And besides, I thought you hated it when people announced they were 'leaving' or 'thinking of leaving'...

Good luck with those research papers you just have to finish on the weekend. And then maybe you'll like it so much you'll just show up to class drunk. "Whoops, midterms, but I can't think because I'm so drunk, so I'll just guess on the answers and ace it." Uh-huh.

Well we're concerned. You've mentioned it in your posts. In that "Your idea of Hell" post...being sober? Hmm..it kind of gives us the idea that you drink a lot. And I don't know why you'd leave when people are just worried about you...
Mr. Stefani 09-06-2003, 04:53 PM Well, sorry I failed to see the humor in it..I just saw it as a way to brag, like you think you're something special. Everyone drinks... i just dont see why you should brag about it unless something funny happened.

No, people are not being worried. They don't care enough to hear what I'm doing these days. I recall you being one of them.
I do hate it when people say that, because they always end up staying, but they leave for stupid reasons like no images in signatures or because they got into a fight because they said Mariah Carey was talented and people disagreed. I'm saying I'm probably going to leave because no one cares to lighten up a bit and realize that this is the first time I've been able to go out on a regular basis in 3 years. Does anyone know how long 3 years is? People just see me as some dumbass loser with no life who's ALWAYS supposed to be online and post at SO. So once I actually become emancipated from my parents, they think I'm not supposed to be here. Stupid generalization, but it sure as hell feels like it. They get pissed off because I'm happier. Okay, so maybe I've a little too happy and post a lot about it, but no one knows what it's been like. Try being locked in some prison cell with all modern conveniences, but no access to the outside for three years, and then tell me how you fell

1. I've said this 44969048 times before, but I've only been drunk once in my life. How does that make me an alcoholic?
2. Sunday - Thursday nights I'm in my dorm all night long. I never go out on weeknights because I have 8AM classes, so that scenario wouldn't work.
3. Not every single weekend is devoted to going out. Yes, I said that I know what every weekend is going to be like from now on, but it's called sarcasm. Meaning it's eggagerated. No one can do that. I didn't even go out the past two weekends because I had no one to go out with. No friends. Nada. I just started making them.
So..where's the problem?

How so? I've had a ton of friends in high school, yet never took a sip of an alcoholic beverage until this past summer, and it was only a few sips at most. They accepted me. So I don't see your point.

Chris, first of all, you made it seem like you would never be back on AIM or the boards. And I was sorta sad to see you go. And then, out of the blue, you PM me to tell me to send something to Crystal. You haven't exactly tried to talk to me, have you? No. And you know I don't come to Chit Chat, so if it wasn't for that PM telling me to forward something to Crystal, I wouldn't even know that you were here. You just treated me like a messenger.
That was about the generalizations people were making about you. You might be surprised to know this, but I refrained from even posting in this topic even though some people wanted me to. You don't even know what the circumstances of that quote were, so you can't judge.
Mistress Slap 09-06-2003, 05:11 PM Hmm well now I don't know what to say. I just think this was a really bad joke. I had a feeling it was a joke but it wasn't funny. imo

People that don't give a **** about their school can certainly afford to go out and get wasted every weekend. And you certainly seemed quite anxious to do just that. BTW, I thought you were in college. It's "exaggerated."
Czas na Zywiec 09-06-2003, 05:16 PM http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&postid=1034234#post1034234 - I posted it because I thought it was funny. There was a beer can in the room, and I accidentally threw it out in the trash in the hall (For the housekeeper to pick up in the monring). The RA saw it, he wanted to question my suitemates, but I didn't want them to get into trouble for my stupid mistake. So I said it was mine because I couldn't rat out my roommates. I'm on probation. Basically it's just til the end of the semester, and it's just like a warning. If I get caught with alcohol in the dorm, they'll take more drastic measures. But other than that, it's a simple warning. I know no one will believe me beause they think I'm some kind of broken down alcoholic because of ONE night of drinks, but I'm being 100% truthful. I'll let you take it anyway you want, but what I said above was not a lie.
http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&postid=1040790#post1040790 - I've been to two parties so far. None with alcohol. Last night, I was on the 'hill', an outdoor street mall.
http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?s=&postid=1042519#post1042519 - The college drinking season, just a term I used. Doesn't mean I'm an alcoholic and get drunk off my ass every night. One night in 18 years doesn't make you an alcoholic.
THose are the only posts that I've mentioned drinking. I wouldn't consider 3 posts exactly bragging, so I have no idea why everyone is being so negative.

Well I don't know about everyone else, but I for one, am. The only reason I said I was "surprised at you" was because I've always known your beliefs towards getting drunk. I honestly don't care if you drink or not... I mean, why should I? (that sounded wrong) Not in that sense, but I mean it's your life, and I can't tell you how to live your life. The only reason I get so... well... negitive (as you put it) on these posts is because alcohol is just a touchy subject in my family. My father's a heavily depressed alcoholic, it runs very strongly on his side of the family, as well as my mother's side also. I'm honestly petrified of the gene being in me, because I know right now I don't want to end up like my father. As it is, I've already had a few run-ins with substance abuse, and it hasn't been very pleasant- As long as you aren't hurting yourself... because I know people here care about you.

Have I been to AIM at all? No.
I've never been to campus before, let alone Boulder, so I have no idea they had computers all around campus. I've never even been on a college campus. So when I saw open computers, I thought I'd pop in an post from time to time. Shoot me for it, why won't you.
The PM to you was because she had those symbols in here name, and on Macs, I can't make those. You were the first person who popped in my head because you're a good friend of mine. Other than her, I haven't sent a single PM to anyone. Ask around. The only contact I have with people on the boards is just posting. That PM to her was a response from her earlier one. Next time, I'll just ask someone else if it bothered you so much.

If I didn't give a spit about school, why would I even bother paying $16,000 a year to be here when I can stay at home and work and not pay a dime? CU Boulder is the 22nd best school in the country, the best school in Colorado, and the only school in Colorado that offers degrees and programs in Architechtural design. And 16K is a lot of money for my family. We're not rich. We're in the upper part of lower class, so if I didn't care, I woulddn't make my parents lose their money and end up living a hard life. No one wants that for their parents.
I misspell one word and I get a comeback like 'I thought you were in college?' Excuse me, but I'm concentrating on clearing this up, and not correcting every single typo I make. It was a mistake, live with it.

It didn't bother me. But don't you think some kind of explanation could be in order when someone who was supposed to be pretty much 'dead' online-wise just suddenly PMs me? I'd at least expect one afterwards, but I didn't get one then either.
I never said it BOTHERED me. I would just have liked a tiny explanation such as 'at campus.' No more, no less.
And about the comment: you didn't like it, right? Well now you know how I felt whenever you constantly belittled me by calling me 'the baby'. Whenever I voiced my complaints about that little nickname of yours (I know a few others used it, but usually only in your presence), you did not care. Well, I actually care what you think about that comment because I actually care about what others think. I bet you're surprised. -.-

I know it's a joke. But that thing where you made me think you hated me was also a joke, and I felt bad about that, too.

Like I said before, since you were my friend, I thought you would do it for me. Sorry for not explaining, but I'm like that. When I know someone, we're close enough to do some things with no explanation.
And Oh my God. First you have a problem with this post, then the PM, now you're calling me names like 'rule lover'. What gives? What did I ever do to you? If I get banned, big deal. Central Perk 09-06-2003, 05:47 PM I guess I was rude before but it seemed like a lot of your posts had to do with drinking, it almost seemed like it was your new favorite thing to do. You also mentioned that your idea of hell was being sober, that seems like an answer an alcoholic would give, imo. I know you were probably kidding but saying something like that makes it seem like you want attention.

WEll, if you wish, go back to that post. I thought sarcasm was pretty big around here. Other people have mentioned something like that.
A friend: How are you?
Me: Sober.
I'm don't remember who said that, I'm thinking it's Karly, but this was like 2001. No one started to call her an alcoholic because they saw the sarcasm. I don't see the difference.

a. I did not intend for the rule lover thing to come off as an insult. I meant it that you always followed the rules.
b. I didn't even comment on this topic until you brought up the 'Exhibit A' thing. Well, I actually did. I said that people were just concerned about you.
c. There is nothing wrong with me. I don't understand this either but I know there is nothing wrong with me. I'm just standing up for what I was saying.
d. I didn't even comment on the alcohol other than that comment Lynn posted which was in sarcasm. I didn't even think this would turn into an argument, because it seems more like a misunderstanding than anything else.
e. You specifically attacked me first in this topic. Yes, that comment in Lynn's post was posted earlier, but I have already explained that as being in sarcasm. You made it seem like I was a bad person, and I don't respond well to things like that.

You forgot about the age you post. You made a few posts there about how college had corrupted you, and how you didn't bother to wait to drink.

*Pleasant Tomorrow* 09-06-2003, 05:54 PM Okay...now, in a way, this is making me feel bad. I don't think you're an alcoholic, I just thought that whatever you posted wasn't funny, and that it's not something you should joke about. Sorry if it made you mad.
Czas na Zywiec 09-06-2003, 06:00 PM My point was that I didn't so many comments like you all claimed I did. 4 - 5 isn't 40 - 50.
When I said corrupted, I was once again, joking. How exactly is one night corrupt?
Okay, I'm fighting a losing battle. No one is believing me and no one cares to hear more. Whatever. I'm going to just leave this arguement alone, and I do apologize if I did offend some people, or annoyed them, or made it seem like I was bragging, but that's not what I meant at all. I meant it all in a joking matter, because I have done it in the past. So if you still have some sort of beef with me, PM me. Other than that, I'll just drop this and make sure never to mention my personal life on the boards again.

WEll, if you wish, go back to that post. I thought sarcasm was pretty big around here. Other people have mentioned something like that.
A friend: How are you?
Me: Sober.

Yeah, that sounds like it would come from me. When I feel guilty about something that I've done I tend to try and make light of it... probably was.
Point being Chris, I don't have a problem with you. Don't think that I did. I just got worried, and I guess I just didn't realize you were being sarcastic. Lush?
laceyinthesky 09-06-2003, 06:10 PM I think some people blew this way out of proportion. So he gets drunk every once in a while.. So what? Tons of people do. If he was even trying to brag he wouldn't be bragging about much. Calm down already.
Getting a little buzzed every once in a while can be fun, but getting really drunk isn't. It may be fun for a little while, but the sick feeling, throwing up, and hangover make that good feeling seem like nothing. Not to mention not remembering the night before and even wanting to remember what happened the night before. Unfortunately I had to figure all that out on my own, and you will soon enough, too.
Ewan's My Man 09-06-2003, 06:18 PM Tsk tsk tsk...Chris...I let you out of my sight for two seconds :p
Uh yea, I'm only 14, and I'm an athlete...so I don't have any drunken stories, not that I'm gonna drink in high skool. However my cuzin's call me a beer hound cuz I always try to get a beer when we're all together...and I had champagne at my cuzin's engagemtn party...lol...it was great.
My plans for college...ahem...I won't be saying them hear...on a public board...:joke: ;)

Don't, they'll slaughter you.
And Karly, :loveya:. Lush, lush.
DarleneIllyria 09-06-2003, 06:23 PM Okay, I haven't read the full topic yet, so I seriously hope I'm not gonna look like a focking idiot for posting a reply. Yeah, I've tried some liquor before, I didn't like it. Okay, that's out of the way.
Chris is at an age now, he can make his own decisions. If he wants to take an occasional drink, okay, it's okay. But if his drinking gets so out of control he can't last a weekend without getting drunk, then he has issues. But that hasn't happened yet, but it could happen. Drinking is just one of those focked up little holes in your life. You think you can just jump over the hole, so you can avoid the consequences, but when you find your ass in that hole, might take you a while to get yourself out. Hell, you might even die in that hole.
Chris, just watch out. Don't find it so pleasurable, you find your ass in the hole--and you can't get out of it. :bighug:

Sean Snow 09-06-2003, 06:32 PM I have no problem whatsoever if he drinks, just making that clear. The only reason I'm posting here is because Chris appearently thought I hated him earlier and there is no reason for it. I don't hate him but I guess he hates me because he said I don't care about anything concerning him. I'd love to hear about how he's doing.
However, I don't think anyone is mad (or wotever, I can't think of a word for it) at Chris for posting about the alcohol. They were just concerned, although Chris doesn't seem to think so. I mean, if it was just some random person, I don't think anyone would care.
Swimfan85 09-06-2003, 08:01 PM sweet hope college is fun :)
I shouldnt give you advice and tell you not to drink because then I would be a hypocrite, so have fun but dont do anything TOOO stupid, I mean getting completely smashed some days are fun, Im not going lie, but I dont suggest to do it day in and day out :)

¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 09-06-2003, 08:27 PM Well, IMO.. I see no bragging in drinking- whether you get drunk or not. Its like smoking.. I could care less. And you cant say you'd never drive drunk.. no one can. I, personally, cannot wait til I'm 21, but I have no desire to be drunk. Ever. Puking, headaches, hangovers, dizzy.. why would anyone want that? I'm choosing not to drink til Im 21 so it can actually be worth it. I never went to any of those parties in high school.. and maybe when I was 15 or 16 would have loved to have gone, but now looking back it's so stupid. People in my school drank to be cool, they were the one's getting D's & F's.. not me. None of that doesnt necessarily concern you, since you've explained yourself.. but you should be careful. In the end, its just not worth it.

dawsongirl 09-06-2003, 10:00 PM Screw it. I don't give a ****.

brownsocks 09-06-2003, 10:05 PM im not going to pass judgement because it isn't my place to do so, but i do have a question. you said you didn't drink all through high-school and during the summer you had your first drink and only got buzzed not plastered like so many people do the first time they drink. i was wondering why you decided to drink after all the oppertunities you had before that.

Too bad.
That's what you wanted...to get a "real life" and get away from all of us who don't have one.
So go live.
Christopher 09-06-2003, 10:15 PM Chris, how do you have time to come here and brag about getting drunk when you have classes to go too, parties, school work, and other stuff? You post a lot here, how do you have time too? Just wondering.

No, people are not being worried. They don't care enough to hear what I'm doing these days.
WTF? I used to care...I did. But you never seemed to care about us. Stop talking out both sides of your mouth.
