Anybody ever hear this stuff? A few years ago, I started listening to it with headphones at my workplace only to block out distracting noises, but found that I like some of it a lot. There's really some good composition going on in this genre. Some CDs are so good that they're almost like greatest hits albums, even though they're not. Most of the songs are instrumental or nearly so. A couple of good performers are Cusco and Ronan Hardiman. Right now I'm listening to "Solitude" from Cusco's "Mystic Island" CD, and it's great. Another good one that comes to mind is "That Place in Your Heart" from Ronan Hardiman's "Anthem" album. Try it.

I was amazed to see the level of songwriting going on in this genre. I've found some of the CDs I've bought just by searching for reviews on the Web. Generally, if the reviews on Amazon say a New Age CD is great, there's a good chance it is. I've been mostly lucky. I have about 20 New Age CDs in my desk at work, and I love most of them. Many I've now listened to a few dozen times, but the music is so good that I don't often get tired of a song.

I remember that being one of the first cd's I wanted when I was little. I have a lot of cds that I've burned that are only New Age. It's good to do yoga to also :D

I think a lot of Madonna's music has some New Age qualities in it, if u listen to Bedtime Story, Secret Garden, Rain, Thief of Hearts, Nothing Really Matters, Paradise Not for Me, even Erotica and etc.....

I love Enya! I think she's awesome.
