View Full Version : What the heck was that Butterfly-Life Painting in the apartment?

I've always wondered about this - what was that painting in the apartment with the "Butterfly Woman" that said "Life" on it? Where did that picture come from? I once thought it might have been an old cover of a Life Magazine, but I scanned through all the covers online and that's not it.

Anyone have any idea?

Does anyone have a closer-up picture of it? In some episodes I can make out some writing on either side of the "Life" and that's what made me think it might have been a magazine cover reproduction, but I'm doubting that now.

Ideally, I think it would be cool to find a copy of that painting for my place. It's the kind of thing that people would probably instantly recognize, but it would drive them crazy trying to figure out what it's from. ;-)

Please help, thanks. :-)

That used to catch my eye too.. when I started watching the show in 1978..

I always wanted to buy one of those :)

.. also those 2 sticks that made a cross.. then you weave yarn around it in a pattern ;)

I made those in like 5th grade back then and we all said "Hey these is from 3's company" we were so happy :)

I've always wanted that damn life thing too. Someone's gotta know where it's from or where to get that image.
