Hi 2003 TV season. TJL here. Well here we are again, another September.
So many new shows and returning favorites.
Ya know, I'm a little nervous. I feel like we're on a first date.
I'm still a little uncertain about what to expect, believe me, I've heard some great things about you, but I hate to say it, I have been burned by other TV seasons.
So much hype, so many promises, so much disappointment.
So before we embark on this wonderful adventure in programming, I have a few things to say to you before things get rolling:

To the new shows:
Please don't suck! There are quite a few veteran sitcoms retiring this year, and we need some new blood to fill the void. It's your big chance! You're in the big time, the show, it's now or never! We need good characters, good writing! Plotlines! Don't forget the plotlines! Don't copy of your neighbors paper either! I swear to God, if I see one more family sitcom with a dumbass husband and his hot wife, I'm picking up a book, I swear!

To some of the returning shows:
Hey guys! Good to see you! Man, have I missed you. I can't wait to pick things up again. Some of you really left me hanging in May!

To some other returning shows:
Oh, it's you. Not for nothing, but you left me a little disappointed last year. Try a little harder dude. Hopefully you'll be able to get things back on track.

To a few of the returning shows:
I don't know what unholy pact with Satan you signed that got you back on the Fall schedule, but hopefully the audience will see you for the unfunny swill that you are, and you are sent to the Island of Misfit Sitcoms with other gems like "Desmond Pfiefer" and "Costello."

To the reality shows:
I'm still not talking to you.

To the shows that are leaving:
You will be missed. Nobody does it better.

Well, that's about it, 2003 TV Season.
Despite what I've said, I hope things work out well between us, but like I said, I've been burned before. Maybe you'll teach me to love again.
Yeah, but you made me believe in "Girls Club" last year...
What's "Girl's Club?" Exactly!

I'm just hoping that "Enterprise" gets good ratings & sticks around for at least 5 more seasons, t match the run of all the others. The cliffhanger looks & sounds promising, along with the changes they're making this season.
And, I hope the american version of "Coupling" on NBC turns out to be good. The british version is good.
