Guys,

This may take some 'splaining. But I saw the other thread about the misspellings of names and remembered that the heart openings and closings did not exist until ILL went to syndication. I am sure this was covered before but for the record:

1. How was the original animated openings different than the restored TV versions?

2. How many restored TV Land original openings are there, and how many original animated openings were there?

3. What about the ending credits? Obviously there was no heart, so how were they different in the original airings? Did they have the voice-over saying who guest casted in the episodes, or actuall name credits of guest cast members?

4. Any information as to why TV Land did NOT try to restore the original closing credits when they acquired the rights to ILL?

5. How long does TV Land have the rights to ILL?

The original animated openings had the sponsers' name on it. For example, when Phillip Morris was the sponser, the cartoon Lucy and Desi were shown climbing down from a PM box of cigarettes, and the announcer would say, "Phillip Morris presents..." In the TV Land version they've replaced that with the TV Land logo.

If you have the ILL DVDs, you can see the original openings. :)
