LucyFan 09-02-2003, 10:12 PM I'm glad to see The Wonder Years returning despite that I really don't care for the channel it's airing on. Hopefully, this time around ABC Family will air the classic show in episode order, unedited or "unbutchered", and without any splitscreens in the closing credits. If these "requirements" are not met - ABC Family will not re-gain my viewership and probably a handful of other people's viewerships.
By the way . . . how much longer does ABC Family have the rights to The Wonder Years?
James 09-05-2003, 01:33 PM When I went to the ABC Family website I was unable to find a feedback section for audience relations. Here is a snail mail address:
The ABC Family Channel
10960 Wilshire Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90024
Attn: Audience Relations
Their toll-free telephone is 1-877-98FAMILY, or 1-877-983-2649.
Remember, the more reaction they receive, the longer it's likely to stay on ABC Family!
I can't wait!
dandelion wine 09-06-2003, 10:08 PM This is great news!!
theTHRILL 09-22-2003, 12:57 PM James, where did you get this information?
Brad Russ 09-27-2003, 04:17 AM Thanks for the info. Hopefully this time they'll play it long enough for me to get every episode taped.
Pavan 10-28-2003, 11:19 PM Starting December 1, ABC Family will replace The Wonder Years at 12 and 12:30pm with Full House.
Though two Christmas episodes will air on Sunday, December 7 at 2 and 2:30PM, part of ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas.
Brad Russ 10-30-2003, 11:45 AM That's too bad. I was kind of hoping they'd play every episode one time through one last time. But oh well. Atleast now I'll have 90 episodes taped as opposed to the 40 I had before. That should keep me occupied for awhile.

According to my calculations they will be in the middle of the second-to-last season (1991-92). The last good episode IMHO was #83 "Private B***head", where Wayne tries to join the Army. The scene at the end with Wayne and his father was very touching. :crying:
x3 Taylor x3 01-31-2004, 04:08 PM Sucks it was only on for like 2 months. I love Full House..but i mean its on 8 times a day already I think they could spare the Wonder Years one spot!:)

Moonlit_Suburb 07-21-2004, 11:34 PM Thanks again for the info, Pavan! I'll be recording and keeping these episodes for sure, since the DVDs aren't being released anytime soon, if ever. No more taking this show for granted! Hopefully it'll air for longer than a month...we'll see.
James 07-22-2004, 12:54 AM Hooray for The Wonder Years coming back!!!
You can contact ABC Family with this form (http://abcfamily.go.com/feedback/)! Tell them it deserves better!
(BTW, the snail mail address earlier in the thread no longer works.)
Moonlit_Suburb 07-22-2004, 10:18 PM Yeah, James, now that I think of it, the show deserves much better than 2 eps a week!! Also, it'll be airing the same time as SNL, so this could be a problem for me. Maybe I can tape SNL in another room. I hope ABC Family at least plays the whole series of Wonder Years so I can get it recorded. Fat chance, I know, but...why bother bringing it back for only 8 episodes? Leave it on, sheesh. The show is TOO GOOD to be shelved. :( Play it 5 times a week. Even if they played the whole series at 2 eps a week...it'd take about 58 weeks to show every one! No way ABC Family would stick with that...???
TVJedi 09-16-2004, 12:06 AM I'm making direct satellite DVR rips straight to DVD. Quality is awesome if you can do it this way since the satellite companies are using multi-million dollar encoders versus the couple hundred dollar ones in set top DVD recorders. They are not true-to-spec DVDs, but play nice in my DVD player and Playstation 2. I hope ABC Family just keeps airing this series. Unfortunately according to my TiVo (~2 week of guide data) we only have 2 upcoming listings according to the query I just performed:
The Phone Call - Sun 9/19 12:00 am
Dance With Me - Sun 9/19 12:30 am
That'll cap off season 1 being re-airred recently. I hope that's not it.
I had written a hand-written letter to Sci Fi Channel almost a couple years ago asking for them to air Sliders again and they did, so I ought to do the same for Wonder Years on ABC Family.
