I've been watching it all day! There are some parts of some episodes that I had never seen before. That's so awesome.

I noticed the insert section too. I'm not exactly sure why it's there. lol.

I noticed the insert too. It would of been cool if they would of added like episode description, etc. on a little booklet.

Hopefully the next DVD will have some extras on it, unlike this one. The good thing about this one is that it has little tid bits that the stations never played on syndication.

BTW, the DVD is now #49 on Amazon. I wonder how it would do on Billboard DVD sales.

How come two episodes from Season 2 weren't included on the DVD set?!

Glee Club is my favorite episode of the series! :(

Are you sure these episodes have footage cut form syndication? Each one is running only 22 minutes long... wouldn't they have been 1-2 minutes longer when they originally aired?

On certain episodes they show the original NBC opening credits, and in season 2 on certain episodes the theme song has a slightly different sound to it. I am happy with the dvd set but some extras would have been nice, but oh well at least i can watch when ever i want. Im looking forward to more dvds

I MUST get these DVDs! But they aren't out here in the UK. Oh well I just get them imported from Amazon.com...even if postage does make them a little bit more expensive. They are well worth snapping up, and I don't want to miss out.

Good job my birthday's in a few days. Now I know what I can spend some of my money on! :)

Are you sure?... because a few days ago I was watching the "Dancing to the Max" episode, and some scenes were new to me. Maybe I just need some ginko.

You are correct. There definitely are scenes on the episodes that were cut from syndication. Just watch 'Miss Bayside', 'The Prom', and 'From Nurse to Worse'. Those are the only ones that I can remember that have whole scenes that were cut out of the syndication versions.

There is also one in "Running Zack". I think all of the episodes (except for maybe one or two) have random lines, and not scenes that were cut out from syndication in them.

-I know the Saved By the Bell DVD set is supposed to be Seasons 1 and 2.
Can anyone tell me what that means exactly?
I noticed that Season 1 took 3 discs while Season 2 only took 2 discs.
Does the DVD set include the 8th. grade years with the 9th. grade years? Is that what they mean by Season 1? And then Season 2 would be the 10th. grade years?

I was also wondering about Jman's comment. When Jman said that some episodes have the original NBC opening credits, is he referring to the original "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" theme song?

Originally, in 1987 there was a pilot episode starring Brian Austin Green and Jaleel White and Hayley Mills as Ms. Carrie Bliss.
From this pilot, the show 8th. grade years was developed.
Because technically, the 8th. grade years is a different show called "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" that ran in 1988 on the Disney channel. I remember watching this show and seeing a totally different theme song, which ended with the entire class grouped outside and saying "Good Morning, Miss Bliss".
It wasn't until 1989 that NBC picked up the series, which Disney dropped, did some reformatting to it, and turned the series into Saved By the Bell.

So to get back to my question, does the DVD set have the 9th. and 10th. grade years, the 8th. and 9th. grade years, or the 8th., 9th., and 10th. grade years?

Since "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" was turned into "Saved By the Bell", I didn't think there would an official release for the only season of the "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" show, since most people remember it as Saved By the Bell. (Indeed, that's how the show is aired in syndication now, with Zack giving a quick introduction and then a "Saved By the Bell" opening intro with the main actors and actresses from the 8th. grade years credited)

I was hoping one of the extras might be the original pilot from 1987. That would be really cool to see.

I suppose in the future we can expect to see the 11th. and 12th. grade seasons released, as well as the Hawaiian Style movie, Wedding in Las Vegas, and College Years series all released on VHS and DVD. (Ok, so some of that stuff is on VHS and the rest is wishful thinking. Yeah, I'll probably have to get a DVD player someday)
I wonder if Saved By the Bell: The New Class would be released. I have to admit, about the only episodes of that series I'd really want to have are the ones where SBTB characters showed up again. (Ok, I guess Mr. Belding's there for the whole series and Screech is there for most of the series. But I mean the ones where Slater and Zack showed up again.)

Well, sorry to drag on in this post. But if someone can answer my question about the DVD set, I'd appreciate it. Also, if anyone on here actually does have the 1987 pilot and the episodes of Saved By the Bell: The New Class where Zack and Slater show up, please post here and let me know. I'd be really interested in trading.
