Read it in the NY Times Obits, Norma Storch, wife of Larry, passed away August 28.

Sad news. I was fortunate enough to meet Mr. Storch a few years ago and I can say he is without a doubt the nicest and most personable celebrity I've ever met.

Keep the Storch family in your thoughts and prayers. R.I.P.

I didn't hear of her passing, I hope Larry is doing good.

Mr. Storch is 80 and apparently still going strong. Most recently he was in the road version of "Some Like It Hot" (with his old-friend and frequent 1960's film co-star Tony Curtis) in 2002-2003.
He does mostly stage work these days, including a stint on Broadway in "Annie Get Your Gun" in 2001.

I knew Norma Storch in California in 1966 when she and Larry lived on Astral Drive in Hollywood Hills. I recall...or seem to recall...that Norma was once an Olympic swimmer and that this was the reason for the small heated pool at the far end of the house. Had a water wheel as well. When I think of Norma I recall a pert brunette with a scattering of freckles across her nose and a tempestous temperment which led to ballistic moments. To escape, Larry would drive to Tucker's building in Toluca Lake and hang out with friends...Tucker and one just down the hall from Tucker. Officially, they were 'rehearsing'.

Larry was a funny guy with the heart of a child who loved "Batman" and enjoyed seeing Melody Patterson's mother under the influence at parties. His studio-sponsored parties enabled me to meet the incomperable Artie Julian who was a darling and a livewire.

One December night several years ago I was driving home to a suburb of DC when I heard on the radio that "A Tuna Christmas" was going to play briefly in Washington and that Larry was one of the stars. Hadn't thought about F Troop or the Storch family in years and that commercial took me back in time to when we were all younger and lived in the LA area.......

My sympathy to Larry in the loss of his wife of so many decades and my wishes for future health and happiness for him.
