Does anyone know if and where Margie worked?

No, Margie didn't work and didn't go to college or anything during the time period of the show. She just got herself and Vern and Freddy and everyone else into trouble constantly. She was basically just a spoiled rich girl with time on her hands. IMO, Vern didn't do such a good job of bringing her up. I just watched the episode "Honeyboy Honeywell" and in it Vern specifically mentions that she doesn't have a job.

Thanks vedastone. Ahhh. To have been raised in the same situation!

They did have quite a nice apartment in a deluxe building, and never hesitated to take expensive vacations in exotic places. And in one episode where Margie is given a car by Vern, it is a rare, expensive Nash-Healy (btw, just like the one Clark Kent had - I have heard that George Reeves' real life car was the one used in the Superman TV show).

Nokatay - VCI Entertainment offers the "My Little Margie Collection 1 & 2", each has 12 episodes on DVD. If you don't have any Margie and are interested in seeing some episodes, I would recommend getting them. They are reasonably priced and good quality.

Vern must have had some major money. Sounds like Margie was just hanging out and waiting for Mr. Right.

I remember one episode where she got a modeling job, but I don't think it lasted.

She also got a job as a singer in a nightclub, but it only lasted one episode.

...wasn't "spoiled". Apparently, Vern had a better-than-average job and had the money to live in a fancy apartment and take care of his daughter, among other things...but there HAD to be some kind of scheme where Margie had to manipulate and/or "prove" something to Vern and anyone else...and on those occasions, she would have to "get a job". They lasted as long as the plot did.
In the comic book version (remember those??), Margie was more of a "teenager", and got involved in warmed-over "Archie" situations.......
