Gene Dynarski played Ben Childress in the ep Mudd's Women and a Gideon council member in Mark of Gideon. He was also in the 1974 film Earthquake. He played a worker at a damn who goes down in an elevator to examine something and comes up drownd in that same elevator. This scene occurs very early in the movie. There is a more famous elevator scene in the same movie where while during the quake some people go in an elevator (this one in a skyscraper) and it crashes. I thought when Allan Asherman wrote in his Star Trek book of Dynarski being in an elevator scene in Earthquake I thought for sure he meant the big building elevator scene. Asherman didn't!
