JoPolniaczek 01-30-2001, 01:19 AM What did they say about FOL
lesliem14 01-30-2001, 01:33 PM I was watching Fresh Prince the other day and it was mentioned. It was the one where Ashley has the crush on the singer and Carlton mentioned that his first crush was on Tootie. Will said something back like "Hi Tootie, I'm fruity."
The gal who plays the wife said something about watching "The Facts of Life marathon." It caught my attention, too . . .
JoPol_wannabe 01-30-2001, 02:16 PM Speaking of Fresh Prince 3 days ago they aired the episode that Kim Fields was on.
FOLfan727 01-30-2001, 06:37 PM My friend Melissa watches Charmed(she cant stand FOL)and she said that one of the girls on the show had the FOL theme song in her head for 3 years.

Blair: We talk about appointment calender things. These are numbers, this is a one, can you say one?
Bailey: One.
Blair: My, this is fun. This is a two, can you say two?
Bailey: Two.
Blair: And this is a....oh no.
Jo: Well looks like you are on your own now Bailey, that's as high as she can go.
Beverly Ann: That means one of us is the killer.
Tootie: Well its not me.
Jo: Or me.
Beverly Ann: Or me. Well, I guess we will have to wait for one us us to kill one us to find out which one of us it is.
BlairW_1 01-31-2001, 07:06 PM Oh, I can't get over that Al Bundy thing! I fell out of my chair when I read it!

T: Oh no! She's right! Sweet little me IS a mass murderer! But I don't remember any of it. Multiple personalities! That's gotta be it! Six faces of me! Each face responsible for a different death! Andy, George, Natalie, Blair, Beverly Ann, Jo.
B: And then there was Tootie!
T: AAAAHHHHH! Blair! But... I thought you were...
B: Dippity-dooed? That's what I wanted everyone to think! That made it easier to get rid of the rest of you!
T: You? You're the murderer? Blair, that's so inconsiderate!
B: Don't you see? That's part of my plan to eliminate everyone who falls under the fifty percent tax bracket!
T: But we were your friends!
B: My friends don't wear polyester! They don't drive motorcycles or ramblers! They don't buy their shoes from the supermarket!
T: I get mine from Paris, honest!
B: Face it, Tootie! You're hopelessly middle-class!
T: Blair! Blair! Please, wait! Please! Blair! Oh no! AAHH!
BA: No, please, please! No! Don't kill Tootie! No!
N: Beverly Ann, wake up!
BA: Don't drink the cocoa!

JoPol_wannabe 02-05-2001, 07:30 PM On an episode of the Golden Girls Dorothy is talking with Rose and she says to Rose "No I'm upset because they haven't rerun the Facts of Life goes to Paris"
LaverneShirley 02-05-2001, 07:49 PM The only reference I've ever seen is in the book Don't Look Behind You by Lois Duncan
Cokies 02-05-2001, 09:42 PM I think there was a reference in South Park not too long ago, where the teacher was just rambling on about The Facts of Life in class, something like that. I could be wrong...
lesliem14 02-05-2001, 11:10 PM This was in October I think. I was watching an episode of Living Single and I can't remember the exact situation, but the one of the guys had a girl over for dinner and the Kim Field's character asked where she went to school and she replied at Eastland, and Kim said she had never heard of Eastland before.
chugalug74 02-06-2001, 10:03 PM there was also an ep of living single where one of the girls calls kim field's character tootie.
netsetter 02-07-2001, 12:03 AM There was a FOL reference in a book I read called Bee Season by Myla Goldberg.
*Since The Fresh Prince was mentioned, I recently saw an episode that had Pippa in it. She played Lady Penelope, a reserved duchess or something who had a wild side.
Miller15 02-07-2001, 12:07 AM The Simpsons:
Lisa Simpson makes a reference to it. She's having a daydream and she's typing out her memoirs when she says something along the lines of (not an exact quote here) "that's how I cured diseases, ended world hunger and reunited the cast of tv's Facts of Life...including long time holdout, Tootie."
(kind of funny, though. "Tootie" is holding out, but it seems the real long time holdout is "Jo." http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif )
Meg07945 02-07-2001, 12:09 AM On the Nanny they have a bunch of mentions:
-an episode called "The Facts of Lice"[the kids get lice]
-an episode where Fran and CC get locked in a wine cellar and Fran's like "This is just like the time Blair and Tootie were in that flood"
-When Fran is trying to impress Gracie's headmaster by telling her about her schooldays at Eastland with her best friends Natalie and Tootie.....
yeah that's about it...

Love The Facts Of Life 02-07-2001, 07:23 PM I was just watching The Golden Girls and they had hired a maid they were getting ready to fire here and one of them goes up to her and says Tottie was my favorite on The Facts Of Life.
lesliem14 02-07-2001, 07:49 PM I was just watching that episode of the golden girls too!!
FOL-FAN 02-08-2001, 07:42 PM There's another one in the Nanny when she's flying to Paris. She sais she's always wanted to go to Paris since the "Facts of life girls" went there.
