View Full Version : I think Lisa had her baby and Nancy is pregnant...
Wisupastar 09-01-2003, 09:37 AM I found this on google groups.....
--Lisa Vidal and Nancy McKeon, who play police inspectors on Lifetime's series
"The Division,' casing A Pea in the Pod in Beverly Hills. Vidal, who had a baby
girl in July, gave mom-to-be McKeon fashion tips, advising her to purchase the
hottest Hollywood maternity mode -- Seven for All Mankind maternity jeans.

TDfan69 09-01-2003, 01:34 PM Take a deep breath folks- Jinny did sleep with Jacl in the finale(albeit off camera, but anyway)so the writers could actually write the pregnancy into the show.
Wendi
Hershey 09-01-2003, 01:59 PM Calm down folks~she can't get pregnant-remember the new movie she's working on Comfort and Joy? (I really dont think she'll stop production cuz she's pregnant, if she even is, we dont know if that source is a reliable one.) But who knows, huh?
Jeanie 09-01-2003, 02:32 PM Here is the Link.

Also at the bottom is an email addy so you can ask where her information came from if you wanted.
Laney 09-01-2003, 02:40 PM Wasn't there a discussion on another thread about Nancy being pregnant?
But like someone already said she slept with Jack in finale so the writers could easliy write it in.
#1_Nancy_McKeon 09-01-2003, 03:21 PM Well I don't know about anyone else, but I'm happy for them both. Congratulations on Lisa Vidal's little girl and Congratulations to Nancy McKeon's pregnancy she always said marriage and children were in her future. That's awesome she'll be a great mother. I wish her all the luck. I love her as Jinny, but if she ever did decide to leave the show because of a new child that'd be something everyone would have to respect. It's a perfectly reasonable reason to leave something like that people- really. I'm happy for them both. :)
1strunfan 09-01-2003, 03:50 PM I just have to say, Congratulations to them both. Being a mother is awesome, and I'm sure Nancy will make a great mother. As far as her leaving TD, I don't want her to, but that's her choice. I quit working when my son was born, and it was one of the hardest, best dicisions I've ever made. But, I doubt that Nancy will let a pregnancy or child slow her down. She can do them both well.
CD DeLorenzo 09-01-2003, 06:37 PM wow, that's great, congrats to them both :)
Here's the clipping that Karen scanned in.
almalexia 09-01-2003, 08:17 PM Jinny being a main character on the show and Nancy being pregnant, I think they would put this show on a long hiatus. They would have no choice but to, unless they wanted the show to just suddenly get cancelled because of the absents of Jinny. Come on, they did it to Sex and the City when Sarah Jessica Parker got pregnant!!! And in fact, because of finding out that Sarah Jessica Parker was pregnant, they put a complete halt on filming and producing eppisodes of Sex and the City in the middle of their season, plus they waited a good 9 to 12 months before they resumed and completed that season. So if Nancy gives birth in the middle of season 4 of TD, they can always put a temporary halt in the middle of the season and resume it later on down the road when Nancy felt it was right to continue. Or they can also put the show on a long Hiatus. They did it with Sex and the City due to SJP being pregnant, and they did it with the Sopranos when one of their main stars had to take care of certain affairs.
I just hope that Nancy McKeon doesn't do like Lisa Whelchel and just give up acting to raise a family, that wouldn't be right. And if that happened, I'll never watch T.V., watch movies, or work in civilised society ever again!!! In fact, If she gave up the hollywood/tv way of life, I'll move into the great wild unknown and away from the cities and live like a mountain man with no tv's or radios. I'll live just like they did during the 1800's. No tv's, no movies, no generations, no video games, no highways,
no I-ways, no cities, no modern towns, no radios, no stereos,
just dirt paths, mountains, caves, the woods, the great empty lands, the wild animals, all that is in the middle of nowhere.
Uppermost British-Columbia, Montana, Wyoming, The Great Escalante of Utah, Or even up in Alaska. Maybe even in the very remote Sierra Madre Occidental of western Mexico amongs the mountain indians.
almalexia 09-01-2003, 08:32 PM Going bact to the post about Comfort and Joy, that movie may have already been completed about a month ago. She may have already gotten pregnant afterwards. Any of you all remember a horror movie called Wishmaster 2? It looked like that movie would of taken 4 or 5 months to produce. But that movie only took 28 days to produce and film. And that movie had all kinds of special effects on it. A movie like Comfort and Joy may take no more than 20 days to produce and film. And Nancy McKeon went straight from the Division to Comfort and Joy in I think the month of June.
June-July-August. Yes, she could have gotten pregnant in August, long after Comfort and Joy was completed and wrapped up. And remember folks, Nancy is not the kind of lady who likes to have her projects announced on the IMDB until it comes out on tv or the movies. Remember when the Division wasn't announced on the IMDB until they first did commercials about it? that was in like in mid December of 2000.
thesonsofvivec 09-01-2003, 11:08 PM I don't think Nancy McKeon is gonna give up acting just to raise kids after giving birth to them. Come on, Did lucy Lawless give up acting after giving birth in 1999. No, she waited until her show cancelled in 2001. Did Michelle Pheiffer give up acting after giving birth to her first child, John Henry? No, She she filmed Wolf.Did Demi Moore give up acting right after giving birth to her kids? No, she kept going. Yes, she quit acting for 3 years to raise her kids, but that only occured because before that, Bruce willis was raising them, and Demi divorced Bruice and was left with no choice but to raise them on her own. Is Reese Witherspoon gonna give up acting because she's months pregnant? No, and No!!! She was even rumored to have already been 3 months pregnant when she did her last movie, I think it was called Legally Blonde II, or something like that. And no, after she gives birth to her child, she will keep acting. And as far as the future goes, so will Nancy McKeon. And yes, the reason Nancy didn't act for 2 or 3 years before coming to the Division is because there were no good roles she was interested in at the time. During those 3 years "1998,1999,2000" she was turning down role after role because she couldn't find any role that interested her at all.
We all know that almost every movie released during those 3 years were completely crappy, with the very best ones being American Pie and Dogma. Movies that by todays standards would be complete crap. Plus, Hollywood was in a crisis situation at that time.
TDfan69 09-02-2003, 03:03 AM Instead of worrying what Nancy will do with her career, be happy that she is pregnant and hope that her pregnancy goes well and that the baby will be healthy. If even she is pregnant, I almost never believe anything I read unless it is straight from the horse's mouth. Like I said before, the writers can work the pregnancy into the storyline since she and Jack slept together before he left for Tuscon. They can also film a bunch of Nancy's scenes way in advance in anticipation of Nancy giving birth, and taking off some time to recover, or Lifetime may show some repeats for a few weeks. I do not think there would be any real long hiatus.
Relax people. The woman has a right to start a family.

Laney 09-02-2003, 06:55 PM Congrats to Nancy. She's lucky to be so blessed.

They wouldn't do that. Nobody could play her like Nancy did...it's not possible. If Nancy were to leave...God forbid...I think they'd write her out...
Either way I doubt I'd ever watch it again...
O god...I can't picture Nancy pregnant...omg...Nancy's pregnant
*whimpers* why...why...why...tell me why
TDfan69 09-02-2003, 09:00 PM Nancy is not necessarily going to quit the show.....and I doubt that they would recast her. There have been plenty of actresses giving birth and still doing their jobs. Lisa Vidal for one. I think everyone needs to calm down, take a deep breath and don't worry until you have got something to worry about. Okay that was the mother in me......LOL
Wendi
Shmoo 09-02-2003, 09:39 PM Congrats and that kid is gonna have one awsome mom!!!
PhoenixMcKeonism 09-02-2003, 10:10 PM ahhhhhhhhh is it true that our Nancy is finally gonna have a mini nancy to take care of? awwww!! congrats on her and her husband! First of all if you are really fans of nancy, you would first be happy for her and respect her decisions she makes in the future. I would love to have her pregency written on the show... jinny..... a future mother! It would certainly make her life more interesting post-suicidal/drug life....... To be honest with you, I dont think she'll quit working because of her child..... having a child shouldnt stop your life..... and I think for alot of actors, working is a huge part of their living..... AND IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE KIDS AND ACT..... I mean you guys..... look at lisa vidal she just had a child..... and she has another child as well and you dont see her leaving the show....... thats just my two cents.... what do you guys think?

That's not 100% true. Just b/c I worship the ground she walks on doesn't mean I'm necessarily walking on sunshine right about now. And take for example...Ewan...whom I love...and I'm his biggest fan...do I RESPECT the decision he makes to smoke? No.
Now, in the long run, I guess I am happy for her. But I'm very self-obsorbed and right now I'm gonna cry.
PhoenixMcKeonism 09-03-2003, 12:27 AM So you're saying nancy mckeon having a baby and ewan smoking are the same thing? No they arent........ if you dont respect nancy mckeon having a baby then you need to grow up. A few not alot of People on these boards in my opinion are more concerned over the fact that this will affect their entertainment than the fact that she is bringing another life into this world and becoming a mother.... something alot of us will eventually be or some already are. All I meant was that if we were true fans of nancy mckeon instead of ALWAYS worrying about the show we would respect the decisions she makes when having this child. If you dont care about her baby and you're just concerned about a tv show then, you seem pretty selfish. Do i care if you like nancy mckeon as a person and not just an actor performing? no not really, but I'm just voicing my opinion just in case some people agree with me.. and if you dont, hey its only an opinion.
TDfan69 09-03-2003, 01:11 AM But why are you going to cry??????? We don't even know for certain she is pregnant, amd if she is, I am not sure why you think it is the end of the world. The writers can get around this if necessary.
Wendi
Michele35 09-03-2003, 03:41 AM Wow.
Congrats to Nancy.
It sure didn't take long to get pregnant after the wedding!
1strunfan 09-03-2003, 02:38 PM Maybe she was pregnant before the wedding? Remember the whole ... Maybe it's just the shirt...thing? You know, when we saw a pic of her and her new husband. It's possible.
TDfan69 09-03-2003, 03:15 PM it only takes one time to get pregnant-she could have gotten pregnant on her honeymoon, who knows? It isn't any of our business.
Wendi
nancyrulz 09-03-2003, 03:42 PM Ok first of all I'm so happy for Nancy, I know she will make a very good mother. We do need to respect her wishes in life, if she leaves the show or not, whatever (even thought I doubt she will). She has the right to live her life the way she wants, and we her fans should support her.

I agree. I wasn't trying to start something. I was just saying it was possible. It's really nothing to me. I was just making the comment. I am extremely happy for them.
TDfan69 09-03-2003, 05:25 PM 1strun: I wasn't meaning that in a bad tone per se- I just think everyone here needs to calm down. First of all, that article is not necessarily what I would call trustworthy. Now, if Lifetime put a release out that Nancy was pregnant, I would believe that. Now a bunch of people have this woman giving birth and never being seen again on television, which is crazy.I actually posted what I did in response to another poster who said it "didn't take long to get pregnant after the wedding". I don't mean to step on anyone's toes, and I probably will not be responding to this particular thread any longer, but wait until you have believable information first. Case in point: how many times have different sources said when Ben and JLo are getting married? The dates are ALWAYS different, and the day comes and goes, no wedding. Now, I could care less when they get married,(I am not a JLO fan)but there you have it. The latest date now is September 14.
Wendi
Laney 09-03-2003, 07:54 PM Good point Wendi !! Love the J.Lo refrence.:winkgrin
TDfan69 09-03-2003, 08:06 PM Thanks, Laney-
Glad someone else agrees with me:)

I never said I didn't respect her for having a kid! OMG...I just made that comparison b/c you had said that if we were REAL fans then we should respect her. To me, that means respect her in general, which I do, I respect her 110%...HOWEVER I applied what you said to OTHER ppl and disagreed with you.
Ok and all this stuff I'm saying...come on, do you really think I'm sitting here bawling my eyes out b/c she's pregnant and I'm worried about the show? Hell no. I KIDDING b/c I'M the one who isn't too crazy about kids and I'M the one who would always say to ppl..."Just watch, she's gonna get pregnant and bye-bye Jinny."
Shock, that's what I'm experiencing, but don't think that I'm REALLY here, throwing temper tantrums. Yea, I'll say it, I AM upset about her being pregnant, and part of me IS worried about the show. But am I happy for her? Yea, if this is what she wants. Do I respect her? I respect her even MORE for having a kid...I know I couldn't put up with one...(yea yea yea, I'll change...according to everyone...sure)
I didn't say what I said to start a fight with you. Maybe I twisted your words, maybe you misunderstood me, I dunno, doesn't really matter. Sorry tho.
nancyrulz 09-03-2003, 09:04 PM Hey i totally agree with the "shock" thing, I was pretty surprised myself when I found out. But it's all good.

I just can't picture her pregnant. Of course, I am gonna say that I have begun to associate Nancy with Jinny...b/c she does such a good job playing her, making me believe she's real...so actually what I'm thinking is, "OMG...I can't picture JINNY pregnant!!" I kinda haveta remember that this is a show rather then real life.
BTW...looks like ur a newbie, welcome to the boards! :)
nancyrulz 09-03-2003, 09:56 PM Oh I know, when someone plays a character so well, we tend to think they really are like them. Thanks for the "welcome" btw! I like Ewan myself, such a hottie, "A Life Less Ordinary" is one of my favorite movies!

Good movie, I have only seen it on tv b/c my mother won't let me see R rated movies, but it's good. I love him soooooo much...
Yea...that was off topic...y'all go bak to talking about Nancy now.
InspectorExstead 09-04-2003, 01:13 AM After not havign any internet for three weeks, I come on-line and find out that Nancy is "potentially" pregnant?!? Wow....and I thought my chemistry homework was mind blowing...Like a couple of people have said, I'm not so sure how reliable this article is. It could be like star magazine. if it's true...it's amazing! i'm happy, yet shocked. and my internet is going to shut down soon, so i have to go.
MandieR1980 09-05-2003, 11:47 AM wow what a surprise to wake up to, if it's true I'm thrilled for you Nancy you are gonna be the best mom ever.

That's bull. The Division is an ensemble show and not the Nancy show. She wasn't even supposed to play Jinny at first. I mean I really like Nancy as Jinny and I hope she will stay on the show as well, but they wouldn't cancel the show just because her, or any of the others left.

As much as I'd hate for her to leave, I know they wouldn't cancel TD. They'd write her off as committing suicide or something, and that'd be the end of Jinny. They set up all of the characters that way, so that the actors can get out of the next season if they need/want to.

Susan! You havent been here in ages! Since my NancyMcKeon1987 days. *sigh* lol Thanks for the article!
She must have gotten pregnant REALLY fast, unless she was already pregnant when they got married! By my calculations (lol) she would have had to have gotten pregnant in June for the baby to be born in March.
