View Full Version : Does anyone have friends that COMPLAIN all the time?
TVFactFan 08-31-2003, 07:34 PM I have a friend who complains all the time. It has gotten so bad that i have to make up things so she won't call me. Everytime she calls she says I"M BORED. or "IT"S NOTHING ON TV. Anf I guess I'm bothered by it because she is 23 and i thought that 23 years old would know how to occupy theirself. When I see her number on the caller if i don't answer the phone-LOL I ony talk to her when she is at work because when she is home it's aggravating. So I feel she needs the internet or a boyfriend.
mcgwirefan 08-31-2003, 07:38 PM I don't have this problem, but I do have people who call with dumb questions that I just answered the day before or in a previous call the same day. It's like they don't pay attention the first time. LOL Oh well!
Maybe your friend needs a pet and a hobby.

Yes a Hobby is what she needs. But i don't think she has one. She likes to shop but you need money to do that and i think of nothing else she likes to do.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 08-31-2003, 07:45 PM No... I dont really have that problem. I dont really complain about things.. I bitch about them! I dont mind people whining for a bit- we all have those days, but after a while its like bring out the bib and eat some CBS. I dont want to be brought down!
Georgia's on my Mind 08-31-2003, 07:46 PM Yes. People tell me all their problems and I could honestly care less about them.

Yes. People tell me all their problems and I could honestly care less about them. Exactly. If it doesnt concern me, I dont want to hear the sob stories. Thats why we have Dear Abby.

Exactly, which is why her calls are avoided. But i think it has a lot to do with me being her only friend. It's no one else for her to call so i win the ticket to hear the sob stories-LOL. My hobby is tape trading and one week i was backed up with trades, so i didn't call her in 3 days and she thought I was mad at her-LOL I was like what am I going to do with her.LOL

Meangya, it goes both ways.

Lady T 08-31-2003, 08:53 PM Yeah I used to have a friend that complained about her life all the time, it got to the point that she became so annoying and self-centered, that I ended the friendship..we all have problems and it is okay to complain about certain things or people in our life, but we change those things..but she never did and contuined to complain and moan and it became overly monotonous....She was 32 years old and acted like she was still in her teens..I wish her the best but after awhile, and forgive me if I sound callous, became a royal pain and it was not fun or enjoyable to hang out with her or have a conversation with her:(
