The first time I saw her was when she was on Bosom Buddies, one of my very favorite shows. *Edited 'cause I pushed send too fast* I can't believe I forgot this: She was part of Dawn, as in Tony Orlando and Dawn! Also, she sang background vocals on Johnnie Taylor's certified platinum single, "Disco Lady." Lady T 08-31-2003, 03:12 AM Originally posted by little insomniac I think she's great! If it's a good show, it's like they have this inner radar that tells them, "This show is doing so well.. let's get rid of it!" DustBunny 09-10-2003, 10:48 AM I'm a big fan of Telma Hopkins! She was on so many good shows that we all remember and love, not to mention singing with Tony Orlando & Dawn. I think she's had a pretty nice career and hope she continues to be cast in family sitcoms. marvin g 09-16-2003, 09:49 PM She had another good t.v show with Cindy Williams called Getting Along. I think? Anyway It comes on occasional on the Goodlife Network. Of course she was in Family Matters as Aunt Rachel. She's currently on the UPN show Half and Half. Did you know she was suppose to be on Cosby the CBS show? Sort of at the last minute he change the cast of the daughter and his wife and went back to Phylicia Rashad. harv11 10-12-2003, 04:46 PM Her name is actually Telma Hopkins. That show was 'Getting By.' Dawn also had Joyce Vincent Wilson in it. They have a really good sound together. --Somebody should put Gimme a Break back on. MsMaia 11-09-2003, 04:06 PM Check her out on the new UPN sitcom 'half anf half'. She still looks great! jarri 11-11-2003, 09:33 AM I dont recall seeing getting along. For me, I remember her most as Rachel on Family Matters. She's a great singer too. I havent seen her lately so I am not sure if she doing anything. jayman75 11-13-2003, 04:21 PM She was on The Nanny as Fran's possible birth mother. jarri 11-13-2003, 05:08 PM Thats right! They made her up to look like she was old enough to be Fran's mother. I think they did a great job aging her. |
