I remember when I watched Three's Company for the first time, i was trying to figure out why Janet's looked so different in season 8. Her face looked very strange. I eventually found out that Joyce Dewitt had a NOSE JOB in the summer of 83. Janet was no longer cute in the face in season 8. Janet Looked her best in season 7.

I agree believe it or not. She just looked kind of old in the later years. Not cute like she did earlier. Just my opinion.

She was kind of ugly-LOL Not to mean but i'm just being honest. She was SO CUTE from seasons1-7 and then in season 8 she was looked like Halloween--LOL

I agree. For being 55 years old she still looks her best!

i think she looked really bad in season 8. it was so weird how much she had changed. i liked her best in season 1 and season 4, 5, 6 and i don't remember what she looked like in season 7.

Yeah, I always noticed her looking different in season 8, and I was pretty sure she had a nosejob. Now I know it was true. What was Joyce thinking? HER NOSE WAS FINE BEFORE! She really should not have had a nosejob. I found it very odd that someone with a normal, perfectly size nose would go have surgery on it. And look how it turned out? It really made her look TERRIBLE--as brutal as that sounds.

Her nose after sugery has a Michael Jackson look to it, about 50 surgeries ago, but that shape....

My opinion is that Joyce looked gorgeous the entire eight seasons of Threes Company. I always thought that she was the best looking person on Threes Company and is my favorite character along with Jack Tripper:)

To me she lookked best in the middle like in last nights episode when chrissy moves in

I think Joyce looked great all throught out the show. I didn't think she needed any type of surgery but I still like the way she looked afterwards!:)

IMO, Janet was hands down the hottest in season 4. Her fresh new haircut combined with tight clothes and a new look really did the trick. By season 5 she began to look more pale and eventually in the later seasons became kind of plane again like seasons 1-3.

I love Joyce and think she's beautiful. But after her nose job, everytime she smiled, she reminded me of a Pekingese

I agree. After the nose job, it did look crinkly when she smiled.

Yeah Joyce was so cute in seasons 1-7 but season 8 she wasn't even cute in my opinion. She was just blah. Her eyes were saggy and her nose was weird it was just not good. Joyce in my opinion shouldn't have gotten a nose job because it made her loook weird and not cute at all.

I think that b/c I started watchin TC durin like the last epis of season 8! I don't think that much of her nose having such an impact on her. She just got older and that was it (that is how I see it)! And I think that she looked really pretty and cute during ALL the seasons! :D!!

well 5 or 6 months is still pretty long! she was 35.......she wasnt in her 20's ne more. she is going to look older. thats what happens. and she didnt look THAT old! shes not the only one who got "old looking".

Take a picture from season 7 and take a picture from season 8 and put them together. BIG difference and you don't get that big of a difference in 5 or 6 months sorry my opinion.

Obviously, Joyce looked much younger in season 1 than in season 8! When I first watched the season 1 episodes from my Three's Company dvd, you can really see how YOUNG & BABY FACED Jack, Janet, & Chrissy looked in the beginning, compared to later seasons!

Could one of you folks who has the software and likes to play around with picture editing and so on, put together a composite picture of Janet in seasons 7 and 8 side-by-side and post it for easy comparison?? TIA :)

I've never seen a reason in escalating topics like these, like someone stated previously, we're merely stating our opinions. Everyone has an opinion and I believe that you'd agree with me that no-one would like to be called names or whatever since I am sure that you would want to see the same fair treatment..

Sometimes it's hard to see whether people are joking or not, especially when you don't put a LOL there - some people have a different sense of humor, sometimes you're in a bad mood and easily upset but mature people will always talk about it in an appropriate manner and most of the time I'd say things get sorted out that way so please let's be nice and talk about this like adults.

Re Joyce and her nose job and her 'old looking'...I didn't know about her nose job until recently. I always thought she looked pretty but of course, being younger in season 1 or 2, she looked 'older' in season 8. I agree the nose job was 'unnecessary' but she's an adult just like we are and if she thought that would make her look better, so be it...the only thing I noticed about Joyce in the later seasons was, like someone said, her looking sort of pale and tired especially in her face, like her eyes, maybe it was the makeup...I never liked the long hair either or those 'old-fashioned clothes', they made her look 'old', I really liked the short hair with her, the casual Janet...and I liked the haircut in episodes like 'Chrissy and the Guru'..

I think Joyce looked cute throughout the show. I really think that she was the most beautiful of all the girls. I liked her best in the first season though ....she really had that cute Babyface, & i loved her hairstyle. She also looked really awesome in Season 4 with her new haircut.

I have to agree with tcfan1974, about her hairstyle in 'Chrissy & the Guru' (& other handfull of episodes). She still had that Puffy hair that charaterized her in seasons 3 & 4, but it was kinda little longer & seemed to have settled down in soft curls. She looked very cute then too.

About season 8 & nosejob.......personally i don't think she needed one....but she still looked beautiful.

I didn't notice a real difference between her face in season 7 and her face in season 8. IMO, Joyce was pretty in all of the show's seasons.
