ABC Family to premiere new teen decorating show "Knock First" from the producers of "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy"
Half-hour non-scripted series joins Teen Block on October 6
Burbank, CA (August 28) - From the producers of "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy," ABC Family premieres KNOCK FIRST Monday, October 6 (5:30 PM ET/PT) KNOCK FIRST offers a twist to the teenage do-it-yourself show giving teens, with the help of their friends and professional decorators, the chance to reveal their identity through the makeover of their room.
The fun begins when the parents depart and the teen and their friends convene with a designer in a deluxe Airstream trailer, to visualize the room's potential. Once the plans are drafted, the teen's friends lend a helping hand, as well as unguarded commentary in private confessionals documenting the room's progress. At the end of day one, the teens and Knock First crew gather in the Airstream to blow off steam in typical teen fashion-devouring pizza and playing video games. Anticipation comes to a climax on day two as the tired but excited Knock First Crew add the final touches, and then open the door to reveal the finished room to the teens, parents and home viewers.
KNOCK FIRST channels teen angst and growing pains into manual labor for a practical, entertaining and engaging half-hour of television. Thirty episodes are being produced by Scout Productions ("Queer Eye For The Straight Guy").
