Hey I just wanted to introduce myself...My name is Ashley and I'm new to the board but I have been watching I Love Lucy since I was 5 or 6 and now I'm 14. I Love Lucy is my favorite show and Lucille Ball is my favorite commedianne/actress and my idol. I've collected Lucy stuff for a couple of years now and I have only have two books but i'm gonna get a lot more but right now I have Desilu: The Story of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz and I also have the I Love Lucy Trivia Book. ;) TTYL...

Oh thanks for that one, Crazyredhead. I'd just like you to know that I'll probably now spend the rest of the day with Hanging Tough stuck in my head.

Welcome to the board.
Desilu is a great book. Good one to start out with. Another good one is Love, Lucy. It is Lucy's autobio.

Both of those are excellent books. Sometime you may also want to read Desi's autobiography, A Book, and another one I love is Loving Lucy. I have the I Love Lucy Trivia Book too, Ashley, and it's fun to do the quizzes!

If you've ever heard Lucy in interviews and know her speech patterns, you'll know she wrote the book because you can hear her in every line. Excellent book, but due to the time period it was written, certainly not as interesting and complete as her second book would have been.
