I was thinking about it, and I just realized that in Cheers we had 3 different types of methods of psychology.
There was the Psychoanalytic AKA freudian = Frasier
There was the Biopsychologist AKA research scientist = Lilith
and then there was....
The Behaviorist AKA (she said she was this in "woody goes belly up") a Skinnerian Behaviorist = Diane
and it's very interesting how in that particular episode "Woody goes belly up" Diane does suggest to woody EXACTLY what a behaviorist would say which is change your environment or in this case his eating habits
Frasier on the other hand told him that he was repressing sexual urges with beth, and that's why they couldn't stop eating together. So he suggested that they have sex. That is not only what a Psychoanalytic would say. specifically a freudian.
I just found it funny how they picked the two methods that are really opposite of each other, and made it into an episode.
.......sorry i'm taking Psychology/ sociology in school...and ofcourse started relating the chapters to cheers....lol
