Who's your favorite Munster?

I love all the Munsters!! Grandpa is a riot though so I guess he's my favourite..but it's a hard choice

I love the show and I think Grandpa has the best punchlines. He's a very likeable character and my favorite. :wave:

Herman is my very favorite character, followed closely by Grandpa and Zombo. I'm glad that the writers altered Herman's character over the course of the first season, because he was far too serious in the first few episodes. He became much more light-hearted and certainly much more entertaining as time went on!Fred Gwynne had an immense amount of talent and education, and also had great music, writing, and artistic abilities. Perhaps that's why Herman became a ham in a few episodes?

I wish that the show could have gone on for a few more years with the original cast intact, but based on what I've read, Fred Gwynne did not like having to endure such a long-winded make-up process (usually 2 to 3 hours). They also strapped a lot of padding on him, and those boots were apparently very heavy too. Still, I'm glad that he put up with it for 2 years, because he sure gave us a lot of laughs (and still does)!
