I'm trying to figure out what the basis of this list is. ELP? Kansas? Even though I'm not an extremely devoted fan of each, I certainly don't consider them the worst. The rest of the list is understandable.

I'll have to vote Vanilla Ice, only because he ripped off Queen's Under Pressure bass line at the beginning of Ice, Ice Baby. He claims his bass line is different from Queen's. Uh-huh, whatever you say.

No reason that Kansas should be on that list.
Or ELP.

I am shocked Yoko Ono wasn't even in the top 50 of the list

Air Supply or Vanilla Ice...? How do I decide...

I'll go with both of them.

I think it's wrong to have Kansas and Emerson, Lake and Palmer in Blender's list, but they also mentioned Whitesnake. That is SO wrong. I like Whitesnake. John Sykes is a good guitar player.

Most of them I dont have a problem with. Some of them (Emerson Lake And Palmer - Kansas - Asia) I dont even know who they are. I wouldve voted ICP, but chose Michael Bolton because he threatened my Conan with physical violence. :cuss:

ELP were a 70's prog rock band. I only know one song of theirs but not sure the title of it. I was a baby when they were at their prime.

Kansas were a 70's/80's corporate rock band. Best known for Carry On Wayward Son and Dust In The Wind. They do not belong on this list I think. Not a fave by any means, but there's much worse. Dust is a classic song

Asia were an early 80's arena rock "supergroup". Their first album was everywhere in the summer of 82. Heat Of The Moment and Don't Cry were their big hits. Not at all a fave, but I did like their singles.

The Doors #37? Who are these morons anyway? I'm surprised that they didn't put the Beatles on that stupid list! The Doors deserve better than that!

Asia won't be remembered as one of the giants of rock, but they certainly weren't the worst.

Air Supply however, brings back horrible painful memories.

I really did like Asia's first album, I was madly in love with the song "Soul Survivor." The other songs, "Heat of the Moment", "Only Time Will Tell", and "Here Comes the Feeling" were also very good. I was kind of disappointed with their second album, "Don't Cry", and "The Smile Has Left Your Eyes", were so-so, but they did okay with on the following album and the song "Go." Plus the Roger Dean cover art was of course amazing.

You'd think you couldn't go wrong with a band featuring Steve Howe on guitar and Carl Palmer on drums.

Thanks, Captain ABlairica, you brought back some fond high school memories for me talking about Asia. Some of their songs came to mind immediately, but then you mentioning some other ones that I totally forgot about. When I wrote that I didn't know why ELP & Kansas were on the list, but the rest of the list was understandable, I forgot Asia was on it.

One shouldn't go by lists, these are just 1, 2 or 3 peoples opinions, even though they are right on target with some of the entries.
